The one star review either received a faulty caliper, or the reviewer doesn't understand Phi ratio. The picture above shows that the caliper I was sent measures a ratio of1 : 0.618(10 cm to 6.18 cm by sight, still to measure with jewellery tools.)Which is the Phi Golden Ratio.I've bought this to use in art work designs, even without measuring on jewellery tools, the product is accurate enough for artwork, the majority of hand drawn design, more than accurate for make up artistry.If you need something even more accurate than this, then you're looking at professional computer software used for billboard photography/art editing.I've been doing Phi by hand with set squares, compasses, and design rulers, this tool will make my life so much more easy!Nice quality, good stiffness on the joints so no chance of slipping. Metal feels smooth to the touch.One thing I will say: the points are sharp which is useful for scoring card, but please please keep these away from eyes or sensitive areas! Alternatively, use clear silicone scissors blade covers on the points! Your vision is more important than perfect make-up!

Appalled. Not the golden ratio. Not even close. The golden ratio should be 1.618.... miles off. Give it a miss.
