This 40-mesh screen works better than a food strainer.... lolThe mesh works great with King Arthur all-purpose flour.Should have done this years ago.

use this for growing sprouts
40 mesh works perfect for growing broccoli and radish sprouts. Lot cheaper than buying the dedicated "sprouter trays" Good quality stainless steel, however just to be safe, I hand wash and do not put in the dishwasher.

Awesome For Home Ground Flour
I grind my own flour and then use this screen to filter out the bran when producing all purpose flour. I set in the top of a bowl barely larger than the diameter of the screen, pour the freshly ground flour in and shake back and forth.

Not 60 mesh
I measured under magnification. The size of the holes is 0.5 mm. This makes it 30 mesh, not 60 mesh.Otherwise, it seems well made.

Better as a duster
This is a terrific little sifter. I will say that it is definitely one that is better used for applying a dusting of flour or powder sugar. It’s super fine.
