RV 30AMP Female Receptacle Replacement Plug Type: T14-50R, 125V/250V, Heavy Duty, 1 Finger Ergonomic Grip, ETL Listed - Black (30AMP Female Receptacle Replacement Plug Type: TT-30R)

I put 8 AWG stranded wire on this as I don't intend to use it for 50 amp service. It was easy enough but if I had to put 6 AWG (50 amp) wire on it, would have been a bitch. As most connectors, there is not enough room to run the ground wire to the front post. The holes for the wire on each terminal barely had room for 8 AWG. 6 AWG probably would not have fit. Then, there is only room for about 1/2 inch uncut cable to clamp to. Eventually, the cable shielding will pull out of the connector. Since all these are the same, I can't really say this is a negative. The whole industry should give a little more room for wire size and clamping.

Solid 50 amp plus. Arrangement of contacts inside plug made it fairly easy to hook up. Only downside I see is depending on size of your 220 volt wire, there can be some opening at that point, albeit at the bottom of the plug which could allow water infiltration in blowing rain. Otherwise a fine 50 amp male plug. Handle makes it easy to plug in and remove!

Awful design! There are hard stops at the ends of receivers so you have to cut the wires exactly, very light weight brass parts and the wire grommet fits 1” diameter wire. Unbelievably stupid! The people who designed this never tried to assemble one of these. Don’t waste your time

The inlet for the cable at the bottom is extremely large. I used 6 guage 4 conductor SOOW cable and there was still a gap. I had to use some of the scrap black rubber cable jacket to fill the void. This is important not only for weatherproofing but to keep tension off the connections inside. It is now very sturdy and working great so far.

Not the easiest to install. Needed two people to properly install the wires in the correct manner. It is however a good durable replacement plug. I would buy again.

My original plug was falling apart and didn't want to spend more money then i have to to replace parts on my motorhome. although this should be "waterproof" i went ahead and sealed the red mark area in the third photo with silicone as well as all the screw holes before tightening them down. this will completely make this water proof except for where the four prongs come out.

Easy to install and very handy connection for RV electrical extensions.

Used the product for an RV connection. Worked as expected. Instructions were unclear.
