Perfect For A Cleaner Bandaged Hoof
My very old horse gets hoof abscesses about once per year, usually in the late fall or winter, and usually when the pasture starts getting wet and muddy. Keeping his bandaged hoof clean while it heals is challenging. This boot is great. It slips on over his clean bandaged hoof, and keeps it clean. The boot is easy to put on. It fastens snuggly and securely around his ankle. There is a nice thick padded collar on the boot.It washes clean in a bucket of soapy water, and dries quickly. The thick sole of the boot is sturdy and shows little sign of wear through two fall/winter seasons. The rest of the boot looks new.I bought 4 boots; two in a size 3 for his hind hooves, and two in a size 4 for his front hooves. I bought them a little bigger than his bare hoof because the bandage takes up space in the boot. When I change his bandage, I cover the new bandage with a clean boot. These have made a messy task so much easier. I no longer have to change a bandage every day only because it got wet and muddy. These will help you and your horse.

Great idea! But tore away from some in under 12 hours!
I was really hoping this would work! It was easy to put on and it seemed like it was made well. I was wrong. I put this on my thoroughbred one evening in a small pen because she’s on rest for an abscess, and the side of it was torn away from the bottom of it by the next morning. I’m super sad, I was really hoping this would save me from making a gorilla tape bandage every time!

Destroyed in hours
Trying to wrap an abscess. This thing was destroyed in hours by my slow moving, gimpy draft cross. What a waste of money

Fell apart in less than 24 hours
Put a brand new boot on one of my horses feet yesterday. This morning it had completely fallen apart. Very dissappointed!
