ModelcraftPin Pusher with Adjustable Depth Stop, Silver

Love it but disappointed
Better made than the more expensive and cheaply made one, for wood ship models, from Artesania Latina which fell apart shortly after arrival and had to repair. Especially wanted this one for the depth stop as I only use pins part way to hold planking while glue dries; then I remove them. Unfortunately the barrel is larger by about 50% and tiny pin nails for planking end up going in sideways. Very disappointed. Should say what size barrel opening is. I guess for dollhouses or model railroading this would be great. Not for wood model ship building; unless your working with heavier materials. Don't recommend this pusher for Artesania's Bluenose, Virginia, San Juan, Mayflower models or the Bounty I've just started. I'll continue with the Artesania Latina pusher I've used for years.

A tool and not a toy
I bought this tool to replace one I had purchased previously, manufactured by Artesania Latina from Spain. this tool is 100% better than theirs, which felt clunky and wobbly; as a matter of fact, the center pin-pusher has come loose from its seat and there is no way to secure it again.I am using this tool to complete the building of a model schooner requiring the use of very small brass pins to secure a layer of planking that covers its hull, the same pins are also used in other areas. As to the tool purchased through Amazon. The handle fits he palm much better thanks to its broader and tapered handle, this gives a firm feeling when pushing the pins. One feature it has that the Artesania tool does not have is a "depth limiter" used to preset for different length pins. Great engineering for a small tool. I highly recommend purchasing this one before purchasing the one from Artesania Latina, they both sell for about the same price. The purchase from Amazon and the shipping from their supplier went without a hitch. As many times before I have been very satisfied with my purchase through Amazon...
