Brooks Womens Ariel '18

Wow! Just wow. I have now probably ordered and returned close to 20, possibly 30 pairs of running and walking shoes over the past six months. I have plantar fasciitis and neuropathy in my legs and feet from a genetic disease, and the bottoms of my feet have lost nearly all of the muscle leaving me walking directly on bone. I have narrow feet that are different from one another—the left foot has a collapsed arch and the right does not. I’ve been finding shoes will fit one of my feet but not the other. For the first time, these fit exactly right with no excess room in the toe box and they’re not too wide! I typically wear a size 8 in shoes that don’t require socks and an 8.5 narrow or 9 narrow in shoes that run small like Nike and ASICS. I got these in an 8.5 and they are perfect! My feet feel like they’re being hugged and kept safe in a protective little cave. In comparison to my old ASICS which I found terribly ugly but none of my running shoes could match the support, these are much better! With ASICS I had to get a 9 to have the arch fall in the correct place but there was always a lot of extra room in the toe box. These feel like they were made for my feet. Excellent support and cushioning in the heel. I thought initially I didn’t love how they looked when I tried them on last night, but I wore them out on my morning run with my dog this morning and I love them!! When we got home I didn’t want to take them off! Such a major improvement, I can’t begin to express what a difference these shoes have and will make. Took slightly longer to arrive than most things on Amazon but worth the wait! Would absolutely recommend these shoes for runners with problem feet.*edit—after breaking these in I do wish I’d gotten them in a narrow. Will be trying the all black pair in an 8.5 narrow next!

This particular style of shoe is very supportive and shock absorbing. I have a labral tear in my hip so it is important that I have shock absorbing shoes but also comfortable arch support so that my knee doesn't roll inward and toss that hip out of line. The only thing I noticed was that my usual 6.5 caused my toe to hit right at the front edge. I realized that when I walked for long periods of time, this could be a problem especially with socks even though the material does stretch in that area. I switched out for a 7 which made the toe area work, but now I have to lace up tightly to stabilize my foot in the shoe/ on the sole in order to get the stabilization that was intended by the design. I also ended up deciding to go with a dove gray/ light copper swoop color scheme because these shoes are bright white. These are very nice looking though. Additionally, when I was looking for the color options that suit me and available in my size, I had to go to Dicks sporting goods. With a coupon/ deal they had going, I was able to get the shoe a better price so that worked out. Still, as more colors become available in the size I need, I would/ will certainly continue to order from Amazon. I've never worn Brooks before, but I am extremely pleased. I truly must have a supportive and COMFORTABLE shoe. Staying away from the ugly ones in order to meet that criteria is tough. This fits the bill.

I've always used other brands of sneakers because I was told they were "best for this or that" until I found out about these! As a runner I was having a lot of trouble with my feet hurting after a run, no matter how far I went. (Typically 3-6 miles but even starting out with 1 mile) The arch of my foot and my heel hurt so bad I could hardly put pressure on them when I would get up the next day. Then I bought these shoes and it all changed. From the first time I wore them my feet felt more supported, and the pain diminished completely after a few days. The first few days I was a little sore as the guiderails in the shoes forced my body to run correctly and didn't allow my feet to rotate incorrectly which in turn also made my knees follow suit. I will NEVER own another kind of running shoe. I actually bought a second pair for work due to being on my feet as a Nurse for at least 12 hours at a time. The changes I noticed are phenomenal and I would recommend anyone who runs, is on their feet for long periods of time or just wants an amazing pair of sneakers to get a pair of these. I haven't found a single thing I don't like about them yet and I've had them about 2 months now. I did order a half size up from my normal or old size. I typically wear a 9.5 but I bought a 10 in these and they've fit perfectly. The toe box is roomy but not too much so if you lace your shoes correctly. I seriously can't stress just how much these have changed the way my feet feel after a long day or a good run. Another pro is Brooks guarantee, if for any reason you aren't satisfied all you have to do is contact them and they guarantee to make it right. I haven't had to make this call but a friend of mine did and had excellent results! Seriously just buy a pair for yourself, it wont be a mistake!

What isn't there to LOVE about these shoes? I am the pickiest when it comes to well supported, long-lasting, durable, and stylish work shoes. I work in a hospital, and I am on my feet for at least 13 hours a shift, and I am no longer fatigued and injured since wearing my Brooks. I have moderately high arches, and they are beautifully supported. My heels no longer ache and burn like they did when I wore Nike, Adidas or orthopedic support sneakers. There is no need to get a clog, these are little clouds. I don't find myself tripping over them despite them being a tad chunky.. but hey the chunky sneaker style is IN. I would say they took 2 shifts to be worn in, but this is only due to the back of the shoe being very 'pointy' and pinched my achilles tendon. But this could've been avoided if I pushed the back of the shoe down a couple of times initially to make it less stiff. They also don't squeak on tile floors, and they are easy to clean. I will be buying another pair when the time comes to replace these.I think my chiropractor and I both are relieved I found a shoe that finally helped alleviate my back, hips, knee and ankle pain.

Good supportive shoe. Not as cushy as the Glycerin, but if you need support these are better.

I have worn Brooks shoes forever. I usually buy the ghost version ,but, the Adrenaline is much nicer. I have very wide feet and I have no issues of rubbing or pinching in the 2E width. They are a dream and I only wish I had ordered two pairs as my size is now sold out.

The shoe is a bit stiffer than I’m used to but still my favourite running shoe.

I ordered size 7.5 Wide. It’s 7.5 but not wide. I have a pair identical and the toe bed is so much roomier. Disappointed but not going to return because of the Covid 19 crisis. I don’t want to go to the post office.

This runner is comfortable and fits as expected. It's snug at the heel and wide where needed. I am an overpronator with plantars fascitis and from previous reviews here, I thought this shoe would provide arch support...my ankles still turn in and I find the support mediocre. The runners arrived in a Brooks box but the box was old, wrinkled and the shoes were not wrapped or stuffed like a new pair would normally be packaged. Makes me wonder if these are actually new, Fast shipping. Overall, I'm happy with them, they are lightweight but I will have to wear with an orthodic which I was hoping to avoid. Excited to try them out!
