Adesso 5133-22 LED Torchiere, Smart Outlet Compatible, 71", Saturn

Lamp arrived on time. HOWEVER, the packing of this lamp was epically bad. It looked like the lamp had been bought and returned multiple times in the same packaging and just repacked and sent out again. Styrofoam everywhere. Soft, broken styro mold and soft, thin cardboard. I am really hoping there was no internal damage done to the lamp during shipment. There is a crack in the base and a small dent on the outer base casing, but nothing that seems like a structural problem, and no way I am repacking this thing if I don't have to. I set the lamp up and it seems to be working fine. I will revisit the review and drop to one star if any part fails before 5 years (especially since the LED lights are apparently not replaceable). For this price, more attention needs to be paid to decent shipping, but maybe we got lucky. Here's the thing. The lamp is exactly what I was looking for. We have a very large room that has no ceiling fixture. I needed a very bright lamp that would light up the whole room (comparable to the old halogen torchieres, but not as hot/hazardous), and I needed it to be controlled at the main lightswitch. It was hard to find something on Amazon that fit this description, but this is it. Bright as day. I find the lamp to be fairly stable and well constructed, although I will not put it in a room where our small child is running around.

I bought this lamp because I wanted a torchiere style lamp and also wanted something without the hazardous heat of a halogen or the harsh color/temperature of flourescent bulbs.The light of this lamp is great and it was not difficult to put together as others have stated. While I have some concerns about a bulb that cannot be replaced, if it lasts half its rated length I will feel I have gotten my money's worth.Major bonus stars for value versus form for this lamp. It is very stylish, perhaps more so than you can tell from the pictures. Plus, the design is such that light is projected both up and down, efficiently filling the room with light.I would give this lamp 5 stars and I found the following cons: the difference between the brightness levels is so small as to be nearly pointless (if you are expecting a very dim setting, you will be disappointed), the power supply gets very hot.

Unique design, puts out good amount of light, and the assembly was fairly easy.I take off 2 stars because:1. Poor packaging - cheap and horrible. For a $180 lamp, at least provide nicer packaging. Instead there was tape, plastic, and disintegrating Styrofoam which went all over the place - it was not possible to keep it contained as you unpackaged, I tried. I spent MORE time cleaning up than I did assembling the light.2. Cost. Sure it's an attractive light, but $180? The operation (turning on/off) and materials for the lamp simply do not justify the price. Now that I own it, I would NOT spend that money again to buy this.

Sleek and stylish, well-packed and easy to assemble. Four different brightness setting might be useful for some purchasers. Full bright level is not quite as bright as the halogen lamp I had before, but close and bright enough. One caution: the LED "bulbs" are set into the open ring. This looks great and shines light broadly, however if you are below the level of the ring, for example, sitting at a desk, one or more of the LED lights may shine directly into your eyes. I attached a strip of heavy duty aluminum foil under the light ring to shield my eyes from the direct glare.

This is the perfect lamp for lighting-up a room in style. Best, is that it totally eliminates the danger of halogen torchiere lamps: very hot to the touch, and also a source of fires from curtains. Even better, the LEDs will outlast nearly any other bulb available today.A suggestion: Again, this is a great lamp. It's 3-way switch (bright, brighter, and brightest) is built into the stem. While it looks nice, I think that it will be the first-to-go, since you would have to cycle-thru it to get it back to the off position. If you're anything like me, I would plug this lamp into a switched-outlet, since it is likely that you will always keep this light on its brightest setting anyway, -instead of using the lamp's switch at all. Given that the LED bulbs will likely last (nearly) forever, and that this lamp isn't cheap, this is a way to keep this beauty around for extra years.

Great looking light BUT it is losing brightness and is pretty dull. Purchased this in 2015, assumed the 50,000 hours would last for many many years. At 12 hours a day it should last 11 years (not even used 12 hours per day)! Maybe it will light but the brightness is gone. My light is only 4 years old. Disappointed.What a shame that such a beautiful light has a short life span and is nothing more than a disposable item. Lesson learned never ever buy another light with non replaceable bulbs.

This is almost as bright as a high end halogen. The light is very white, and it adequately illuminates. There is a 1 second delay before it actually turns on if you plug it into a wall switched outlet, but that is the most minor of annoyances.It is TRIVIAL to put together. Anyone who complained about difficult assembling it shouldn't be trusted near sharp objects.

Nice visual design. Expensive. Inner diffuser shade is too close to bulbs, leaving bright glare visible through donut hole. I had to add another layer of diffuser of a cylindrical shape (which moved the diffuser a tiny bit further from the bulbs) to make it tolerable.
