Simple, fun replayable
We like to play two player, but it's a fun game with lots of replayability. The rules are simple but fun. The art is perfect. I grew up playing tattered table top games and the distressed style of the materials is a plus.

Beautiful and Fun Game
I bought this game on a whim because the box art was compelling, and I was not disappointed with what I received. Pros - Visually stunning cards and figures - Exciting gameplay (think playing with monsters like you did when you were a kid, but with rules). - Easy to learn and teach - Complex enough rules to keep more experienced board game players engaged (read: it's not just a gimmick game) - You can throw tanks at each other! And you can throw each other at each other! Cons - Only 4 Kaiju (would like to see an expansion, there's plenty of Kaiju they could choose from) - The map pieces and game tokens are too dark/low contrast so it can be hard to see what's on the board

Perfect!
Ordered this for a Christmas gift! It came in super quick! He loved it! I would recommend for young preteen, teens, or even adults! Such an awesome game to play or to collect if you’re an avid collector. Totally recommend!

A Board Game for Anyone, and Especially Godzilla Fans
Recently there’s been an influx of Godzilla merchandise which for Godzilla fans is very exciting. This board game is an example of something that feels like it was made by fans of Godzilla that wanted to create a fun game with one of the best kaiju. The build quality on this game is great, the cardboard pieces aren’t flimsy in the slightest and are actually fairly thick which leads me to believe they’ll last a long time. Same goes for the plastic building pieces as well. The Kaiju are also well made and fell like they’ll withstand the way I play the game which is to smash the monsters at the things they’re destroying (it’s more fun that way). The actual gameplay is really fun, gaining energy to use attacks to fight other players. Each kaiju also has abilities that don’t cost energy which means that even players who don’t have any energy can participate in the action. It’s actually a pretty simple system to understand and within one game my sister understood the rules as well as I did without even reading the manual. As a convenient addition the back cover of the manual has the steps of every turn so you can very easily look to it if you forget what’s next. The only reason I removed a star is a minor annoyance that kept me from having a perfect time with this game. My game came with an extra energy tracking cube bag instead of the stand for Mothra. Luckily Mothra can be placed in such a way that she doesn’t fall, but it’s fairly sensitive, and when the Mothra piece is always on the move some time has to be dedicated to make sure she doesn’t fall over and push over other pieces. It’s a small inconvenience, but just be sure when you get your game that you have all the necessary parts, you never know if it’ll miss something important. Overall this game is amazing, and a fun game not just for fans of Godzilla, but I’d say even for people who just like board games. I wouldn’t mind if down the line they make expansion packs. Add even more monsters, like Anguilas, Rodan, or even something out of left field like Eborah. This game is crazy fun with details that will make a Godzilla fan’s heart soar.

Fantastic game, a little confusing for some.
This game is a lot of fun, especially if you like the old godzilla movies. The minis are great! Some of the rules aren't explicitly stated or are worded a little strange so it can be confusing but it doesn't take away from how fun the game is.

Gojira!
We have the bad habit of breaking out a new game late at night when our adult brains are tired and the kiddo's brain is still buzzing. It takes at least three play throughs for us to feel like we know what we are doing. That said, this is a great homage to the Godzilla et al. monster movies and a lot of fun. It may even spark an interest in those classic films (like the Horrified game) and the culture that spawned them. A good game, too, for gameschooling (cause effect, strategy, stealth reading) ! Light competitive and dynamic play mechanics. A new favorite.

Fun Family Game Night!
The first time we played this as a 2-player game with my 10 year old son, who is a massive fan of Godzilla. We had so much fun (he played Godzilla, I was King Ghidora) that dad and little brother wanted to join us as well! We then played the game THREE nights in a row, the whole family, and with the kids willingly giving up screen time to go head to head to destroy Tokyo. LOL The game movers are fully sculpted plus all the 3D buildings to destroy - it really makes it like a little diorama of the city to rampage through. The artwork is so fun and immersive - and it's all based on the classic films but not just screen grabs. Highly recommend! I'll be giving this one as a gift for Christmas for sure.

Fantastic Game
Not super simple, but easy enough to learn with a bit of effort. Offers players a wide variety of ways to play the game. The production value is off the charts. A no-brainer buy for Godzilla fans, and an easy recommend for anyone even slightly into the niche-board-game genre.
