HoneywellHome RTH2410B1001 5-1-1 Day Programmable Thermostat

This was exactly what we needed!!! Our old thermostat wasn't turning on and off on it's own so our house was becoming feast or famine when it come to the temps.I ordered this thermostat and it came pretty quickly. It was a easy install- I installed it! The instructions said it takes 15 minutes to install, however it took me 22 minutes.... in all fairness I did have a couple of kid interruptions and I have never installed anything like this before.The instructions were easy to install and program. It works like a charm!! It's so nice to be back to a thermostat that automatically turns on and off as needed. I love the programmable features too that you can set it for specific temps at different days/times of the day.

I have a AC W/ Heat pump and (electrical) emergency heat. I had bought this and it only took 20 minutes to install it and have it programmed. I’m very happy with it. The instructions are very good and wiring labels were handy which made my work a breeze.

Very reasonable price and working well so far! Time will tell...

This thermostat addressed a need to be able to flexibly adjust heat on weekends when patterns differ. It's easy to install with clear instructions and adequate materials, illuminates when being programmed or changed, and accurately measures temperature.

I was wanting another thermostat to replace my manual one, mainly because I wanted to save some money. I never quite knew with my old one exactly what temperature it was. I researched a "lot" of these programmable ones and selected the Honeywell because it had the rhythm of our lifestyle. My wife and I work during the day so we leave at 7:30 and get get home around 3:00. So Monday - Friday it's pretty much the same, so that took care of the (5) programmable days. However, Saturday and Sunday are completely different so having a programmable (1) + (1) was perfect. Just read the directions for daily settings of the wake, day, or sleep temperature schedules. Every day has (3) different settings, so be sure you understand that and program it accordingly. Also this is a cool feature, if you don't like what you're getting for that time period (too cool, too warm etc) just hit the UP or DOWN arrow button and it indicates the temperature you want and then it's set for that time period whether waker, day, or sleep mode. Easy, clear directions to install from your old to new unit.

I like the product. It does what it is supposed to. Install was easy and it works well. Worth the money. I bought it as a replacement for what was broken.

I did my research on thermostats before buying this one. I could not justify those Smart thermometers costing $150+. Having used they Honeywell for over a year, I'm disappointed. First, the clock does not hold the time accurately and does not adjust for daylight savings time. Second, to initially program or later change the settings, you have to scroll through all the screens one at a time. Third, the text is so small and the back lighting is so weak, I have to use a flashlight and a magnifying glass (I'm 65+) to read the screen. Having to do this so many times in the short period I've had it installed, the prices of the smart thermometers have come down significantly with fierce competition. As a result I found a major brand smart thermometer (not Honeywell) on special for $110. The competitors have removed some flowery features to come up with basic models at lower prices which is all I need and want.

I was unable to install this unit as it was English/Spanish from the US. Honeywell warranty would not be honoured in Canada. I returned it immediately, talked to a CSR who guaranteed the replacement would be from Canada. The replacement was the same as the original so it too needed to be returned. I understand the first error but after specifically asking about the origin of the replacement it was a frustrating, waste of time.
