Did exactly what I needed it to do. Swapped this in place over the the original one and I had the clearance I needed for the fishing rod. Easy to install.

One of the scotty 259 rod holder height extender had already been opened so am I getting a 2nd hand rod holder ?.

Works as intended but less versatile than the model 459 extender which I also have. I do prefer the 459 over this 259 because I can adjust the angle at the base thus giving me more positioning options.
