Model Color Paint Set - Folkstone Basic Colors

Ideal
I bought these paints as a replacement for my citadel miniature paints, whose prices are getting quite ridiculous, and I think I prefer them! The pots make cross contamination impossible, and make paint use far more economical. The colours are as vibrant as any I’ve used and offer excellent coverage even when thinned. I will not be returning to citadel!

Nice set of colours
Having only just started building models, when I bought a couple garage mold figures I suddenly realised I only had ww2 German and British camo colours (also Vallejo sets), great for the two models I have but frankly a little drab for the two sci-fi figures I got. This set is pretty great, it's got a nice range of colours and they mix real nice. Also the coverage seems to be pretty good.

Usually one coat sufficient, good coverage
Used for painting plastic models and cardboard models for model railway. Paint can form bubbles at spout of bottle when bottle squeezed, but helps avoid paint wastage as precise amount can be dispensed. Applies easily with usually one coat coverage and fine lines can be painted. Mixes easily to form the colour you want and dilutes easily for use as a wash. Not cheap but well worth the money.

Great starter set!!
I just love these colours! So easy to use due to the "eye dropped style bottle"; and you can't spill any! Good basic set of colours, covering greens, blues, creeds, Browns and of course the staples like black. White, gold and silver :) great starter set or, if like me, branching out from WW2 cammo a good all round set. Can't praise Vallejo enough

Good starter set for figures
I needed a base set when returning figure paintingBrushed coverage is OK on properly primed white metalNot bad range though it didn't have anything that I could use as a default skin tone.Added a few single pots of skin tone (I like their Barbarian flesh), a pot of primer and a pot of matt varnish and it seems to be enough for now.
