I'm pleasantly surprised by this phone case for my S9+. Coming from a similarly designed case that is no longer being made, I actually like this case a little better having used the previous one (bought twice) for roughly 3+ years. It is a tad thicker from all sides, but I feel it provides better drop protection.The outer shell is hard but where you'd typically hold the case with your fingers when in use is almost smooth to the touch. The screen protector goes over the top of the screen and into the outer shell, it's nice and clear and the lines on the front of the case look nice, appears to fit tighter to the actual screen than my previous case which could help stop dust, hair etc from getting into the case. Comes with a sturdy outer belt clip that the case can clip into as well, if that's your thing.The shell is bigger than you'd think if you tend to hold your phone vertically the long way between your thumb and index finger, I have large hands and its a bit of a stretch but can be done. I never realized how often I did that until I got a larger case.

This is really a 4.5 star review. If your priority is to protect your phone, it's hard to imagine a better case than this Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro (what a name). I bought my case just before a lengthy international trip that would take me through less than perfect conditions, I had to watch the manufacturer's video to learn how to install the case on the phone, but with the video's help, installation went smoothly. The case paid for itself in short order during my travels, because I dropped my new Samsung Galaxy S9+ at least twice. No damage of any kind to the phone or the case. Like many cases, it makes the phone bigger and clunkier, but that's the price you pay to be safe.Now that I'm home again and not traveling, I may remove this case and install a simple screen protector instead, until I will be in unfavorable conditions again. The reason is that the case does have three shortcomings. First, the screen protector portion is incredibly reflective, even more so than the phone's built-in screen, so in bright lighting conditions it's difficult to see the screen. That makes taking photos in bright sunlight challenging, because all I could see was my own reflection in the glare of the screen protector. Second, the case is rugged when dropped or bumped, but it is not truly sealed against dust or water. So gradually, dust built up underneath the screen protector, between the protector and the phone screen itself, because the screen protector portion of this case does not physically affix to the screen below. Instead, it's held in place by a plastic frame around it which snaps to the edges of the phone. It's quite secure, and it does protect the phone screen, but despite the overlapping design of the back and the front portions of the case. dust can get in there, which means you have to remove the case to clean everything periodically. And for the same reason, if you use a damp cloth to wipe the case on the outside every few days, moisture can get under the screen protector (between the protector and the screen) which can produce a weird visual blob effect. My phone itself is water resistant, so these problems didn't put my phone at risk, but having to remove the case to clean it is an inconvenience and potentially shortens the life of the case because you have to stretch it a little to get it on and off.The third shortcoming of this case is that the rubber cover that protects the phone's earphone plug is so strong that it tends to push my earphone plug back out of the phone, so I have to re-seat the earphone plug periodically. If you use a Bluetooth headset, no issue. If you and your phone are stationary with a wired earphone, this should also be no issue, but if you're moving around with a wired earphone, your earphone will back out of the plug now and then, and you'll have to keep pushing it back in. You could cut off the little earphone-protector piece of the case to eliminate this problem, but then you're reducing the protection the case would provide when you aren't using earphones.Despite these annoyances, I'm glad I bought the case. It protects the phone effectively, which is what I needed. It's ironic that professional phone reviewers oohh and aahh about the sleek and glamorous appearance of many new cellphones, and then the same reviews urge you to put the new phone into something like this that would look at home in a military training camp. This is not bad looking as cases go, but it's a far cry from the design of the phone itself. That said, if function is more important to you than form and you want to protect your phone against damage, this case is superb for that purpose.

I have cell service at a local kinda small carrier so when a new phone is released it's usually a month or longer before my carrier actually gets and releases the phone to its customers, it was the end of may when I could actually get my hands on the new S9+. While I was waiting for the phone, I went on a search for a good case to protect it, I had it narrowed down to four that I really liked and ultimately decided on this one, the blue Supcase... really glad I did. This case is perfect, it looks great and feels very well made. This case does come with a built in screen protector, now I know this can worry some people because I did read a lot of reviews on other cases where people complained that the touch sensitivity was a lot worse when using a case with the built in screen protector but let me assure you this case doesn't cause any issues like that, this one actually sits nice and flush against the screen and I didn't even have to go into the settings and bump up the sensitivity like others are having to do with their cases, it's just as smooth with this Supcase as it is without it! I will add that this case is a bit hard to take off (which is a good thing, it won't be falling off your phone) so make sure you wipe your screen good and the screen protector, you want everything to be nice and clean before you put it on, I was in such a hurry to see how it looked and worked on the phone that I didn't notice the little eyelash until I put it altogether and then there it was, stuck in the middle, I then had to pry the case back off, clean it, put it back together. Also they provided a slip of paper in the box that has a YouTube link which will provide you with instructions on how to properly assemble the case, I didn't have to use it and anybody that's ever put a case on a phone before probably will not need that but it's good for anybody who may not know. Anybody looking for a perfect fitting case with style and protection, look no further, here it is.. I definitely recommend this 100%, worth every bit of the price, which is also great. I personally will be buying more from this brand, probably get the white one in this style next. This thing absolutely fits like a glove, hugs those curves and looks so sleek.

Supcase has really nailed down what I look for in a phone case: cheap, durable, and not too bulky. I have bought 3 so far, but thats only because the belt clip keeps breaking about a year into it. If you're someone who doesn't use a belt clip or you upgrade devices every year, then this is a fantastic case but if you keep your phone for years and use the belt clip daily, be prepared to buy this a few times. Like I said, so good you'll keep buying it.

Excellent fit and well made. Very well designed and thought out. The cover is slender enough to fit in an automotive cell phone holder, and use wireless charging. The screen protector does not hinder touch screen operations.
