**Q: What is in this? Is there any wheat?**
A: I don't think there is wheat - but not sure.  It is black licorice candy ... very popular in Germany and Europe.

**Q: What is the "modified starch" from? thank you !**
A: Hmm, I am not finding any 'modified starch' in the ingredients.  They are as follows: glucose syrup, sugar, 8.7% licorice juice, palm fat, caramel sugar syrup.  Emulsifier: lecithin. Coloring: Biochar, table salt, herb extract.
