Perfect for Little Hands Learning to Cut!
The Melissa & Doug Scissor Skills Activity Pad is fantastic! My kids (5 & 6 year olds) had so much fun practicing cutting, and the pages are bright, engaging, and sturdy. The included safety scissors work well and are perfect for beginners. It’s a great way to build fine motor skills while keeping them entertained. Highly recommend!

Great for improving hand/eye coordination
This adorable and super fun activity book with the child safety scissors really improved my daughter’s confidence with scissors overall. It also helped her to gain more control over her cuts by improving her hand/eye coordination which I love. The pages are brightly colored and the activities kept her interested and engaged and the cutout activities became more challenging so it never became too easy or made her feel bored. This activity book had her practicing cutting along directional lines and it has increased her awareness of staying inside the lines when she is coloring in coloring books too which is another plus. This activity book is fun and engaging and is a great educational gift for those learning to use scissors.

Kids love it, don’t use the included scissors
My 4 year old absolutely loved this activity book. It entertained her for hours on a road trip. My only complaint is the scissors- they are blunt and plastic and very tricky to use. We used regular metal toddler scissors instead and that worked much better.

Great for Fine Motor Skills
My kids love these little scissor skill books. They made more in the past and I wish they would come back with them. They are so great for fine motor practice and the pictures are fun and colorful. My kids will either glue them back together on construction paper or make something out of the pictures. Very cute and the scissor are wildly wonderful for a beginning cutter... I honestly do not even understand how they manage to cut through paper so easily.

My grandchild had one and now I buy more as gifts.
Great Product for young kids learning to cut with scissors. I found one in a closet recently and gave it to a 3-year old for Christmas. I am sure that he'll enjoy using it. Great design for learning.

Great for my young grandchildren to practice with
It’s summer and school is out, but I like finding ways to have fun with my grandkids as well as have them doing different things to stay up in learning. Mine are 3,5,6 & 8 but I especially focus this item on the younger ones…especially the 5 year old who will start kindergarten in September. The scissors are plastic and seem safe enough. Fun activities to do with kit.

Fantastic activity book by Melissa & Doug. Not only that it gives you an opportunity to do something fun with your child (unless they want to do everything by themselves which is an additional bonus) but it helps your preschooler (in my case anyway) to practice/develop their fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, oddly enough patience and have fun in the process. I saw a few reviews where people complain about activity book being short lasting as once they cut everything that's it. Not sure that's a valid comment because you can always scan/copy all the pages and save them for later use which is what I have done. That way you can do this activity on numerous occasions or at least until your child gets really bored with it. My daughter and I spent two hours on the first day doing cutting, gluing and creating pictures from the cut parts to fit them into a story that we decided to pursue and we were still left with many unused pages, not to mention the scanned copies saved for later use. Also, the book comes with the safety scissors. My daughter prefers using the normal kids scissors (for a lack of a better word) but we tried the safety ones as well and they work great. Please note that if your child does not know proper cutting technique she/he might struggle with these. 5 stars for this activity book without hesitation!

Great book for practicing cutting skills. The images are bright and colourful with different themes so my four year old enjoys picking different pages to work on. It seems like a fun activity instead of work/practice.
