Amazing grill. Great job, Weber!
This grill is fantastic!! I decided to build it myself, and I’m glad I did. Doing it myself allowed me to be acquainted with the parts in a way I wouldn’t have otherwise if it had been pre-built. It wasn’t difficult, but a bit time consuming. As some said, you can lighten the load by cutting away packing material and opening the lid in the box. First, we cut off a side of the box and folded it down, so instead of having to lift up anything, we could just slide it out. Next, we took out various things packed in the grill box itself that lightened the load considerably. Then the main grill just slid out.The directions are pictorial, but understandable. At various times, a second person can help, not so much for weight but for holding pieces in place while you screw something in. It wasn’t too difficult and the end result is very nice.My first project was grilled peppers — piece o’ cake! The came out beautifully. The grill gets screaming hot very fast — that’s great. The peppers were done in record time. Next, I tried a filet mignon. Wow! Following Weber Chef Jack Ovens directions this was the best steak I’ve ever cooked in my life. I did use the Weber iGrill 2 thermometer connection and I’m glad I did…the filet was at 125 very quickly, much sooner than I would have thought. I pulled it off the grill and it was perfect! Did I say I love this grill? The next project was chicken on a rotisserie, an accessory I also purchased. Works great! Grill heats evenly and heats up again quickly when the lid has been opened. The temperature gauge on the cover is great, front and center and is really useful. Cleaning is straight forward, and the "flavorizers" deflect grease to a catch pan - nicely done. This is the best grill I’ve every owned, and I recommend it highly.

Arrived undamaged. Excellent gas grill.
I am seeing a lot of other reviews claiming their grill arrived with damaged parts. My grill arrived yesterday (February 2017) and each part was in perfect condition. Not a dent or scratch anywhere. This grill is excellent. With burner 1 and the sear burner on you can set up a solid 2 zone system for cooking on the right side of the grill with indirect heat. Maintains a very steady temperature for cooking low and slow. Produces excellent heat (over 600 degrees at the grates within 12 minutes on a 40 degree night) for searing on the left side with burners 1 and 2 and the sear burner on full.Solid construction. In my opinion the only weak part of the unit is the handle for the cabinet door- which is plastic and the screws thread in to the plastic- so don't over tighten. Wheels are also plastic but seem durable enough. Little tool hooks on the side shelves are plastic and cheesy. The rest of the grill is solid and gives the impression that it is built to last. 5 stars.***ONE YEAR UPDATE*** no issues at all after cooking 3-4 times a week all year long on this thing (I use this grill more than I do my oven). Burner tubes/manifold look great. No warping or cracking anywhere. Flavorizer bars showing some wear but look to have years of life left. Ignites every time instantly without fail.Still amazed how precise you can cook indirectly anywhere between 200-425F on the right side. In my opinion, having the sear burner between the left 2 tubes makes this a much better grilling/cooking/smoking machine than the E-310Still 5 solid stars

Weber.... all that's expected!
This is my first Weber and the first time I've ordered a grill thru Amazon. Easy to assemble and looks to be very sturdy. I'm decent mechanically and it took me 1 1/2 hrs to assemble at a leisurely pace. Instructions were quite easy to follow. My only issue was with the product condition after shipping. The Spirit E330 model come via UPS and weighs 130 lbs. Two pieces of the main frame were bent and the igniter was broken. The bent pieces were pretty easy to get back into shape and I was able to fix the igniter. I have not cooked on it yet and I like to give that end a few months before rating those abilities. I chose the Spirit line because I was able to get the side burner on the lower priced model.UPDATE: Two months later and I'm happy to let you know that this grill is all that its advertised to be. It cooks very well. It is reliable and even in it's ability to consistently cook food on any portion of the grill. The searing function allows me to grill perfect steaks and chops. It was also worth the extra $$ for the side heater.

Tedious assembly, great results
Assembly is not difficult, but it is tedious. This is better described as a kit for building a grill rather than as a grill itself. It is a matter of searching through dozens of parts and bags of parts to find what you need. Then after you get it assembled, you get to take some of it apart to check for gas leaks. It took me about four hours without an assistant. I think a second one could be done in an hour or so.A plastic piece covering the wires and tubes to the external burner was missing. I don't know if it was removed from the design or just missing, but it is cosmetic so I ignored it.The finished grill works well. It lights up easily, heats quickly, and has a good solid grate. The drip pan and removable catch below the burners are easy to remove and clean. Removable pieces cover the burners so that even chicken can be cooked without flare ups. It uses a scale mechanism to weigh the propane tank, so you get a good measure of how much gas is left. Hanging the tank requires holding it out at arm's length. I found that putting wood blocks under the tank and then removing them helps.I'm used to cooking over charcoal, which is hotter and flames up. This modern design is more like a very hot oven than a charcoal grill. That's better in some ways. It is much more convenient to use and avoids the flare-ups. It does not produce the same intensity of grilled flavor that steak over charcoal has. That's not a knock on Weber, who has made a fine product. It's just one of the great tradeoffs faced in life. I'm happy going for the convenience.
