When Japanese technology mixes with German technology
Since I bought this Metabo DH40MEYM Rotary Hammer on April 2, I've used it for a few projects such as the radon mitigation project, demolition project, concrete water drainage project etc. It has performed excellent Even with an old junk extension cord its build-in inverter took care of the unstable power. Never quit and never gotten tired even after hours of operation using the 4.5", 5", and 6" Diablo core bits. Went through concrete with ease. Just don't press on it because pressing doesn't help. Actually pressing stops the hammering action. You should let its own weight do the job. Most people think that they help the tool by pressing, but, that's wrong thinking. Better comfort and speed drilling then my 10 year old Hitachi's 40DH.
Had two hitachi for years drilled prob 10 000 plus holes 3/4 to 15/16 this is better fast drilling less fatigue to use. Will buy more not sure about long time durability drilled 500 holes so far. Could not find Hitachi anymore so move forward buy these instead. I think hitachi actually makes these for metabo. N Hitachi makes parts for Hilti.
