A Must-Have for a Photographer's Paper Collection
We enter art shows quite regularly and have tested out probably most papers on the market. There are a variety of "metallic" papers which try to mimic actual metalwork photography while still letting you use a household printer. Some barely rise above the category of gloss. But I am just so, so impressed with this Moab metallic silver. It's not white. It is actually silver in color. And it is truly like having metal shining through your artwork. For example, one of the images I'm attaching is my boyfriend Bob See's "Sutton Gazebo". This is a night scene of a Christmas decoration on the Sutton common in Massachusetts. The lights on the trees actually glow when you look at it in person. The metal is that reflective through the lighter areas. It is a beautiful effect. To do a comparison, I'm also including an image which one might normally not think of for metallic silver - a marigold, also by Bob See. In this case the effect is more subtle. The petals shine. It's hard to see in a straight photograph - you really have to be there in person to see how it alters as you walk around the photo. It definitely brings the photo to life.Highly recommended. Well worth stepping up to this, vs the standard metal papers out there which are little more than a white gloss.Ask with any questions.
