R1 Concepts Front Brakes and Rotors| Hardware Included| Front Ceramic Brake Pads and Rotors Kit| Fits 2017-2020 Hyundai Elantra

I've followed this brand, R1 Concepts for many years online, across forums, on eBay, and now Amazon. They are located in Southern California, and have a good reputation with alot of different car manufacturers. They start with a quality blank rotor, not some cheap import junk.So far these are working great. They feel slightly better over stock OEM setup. My early model 2014 Mazda 6 had 52k miles on it when I changed out the stock rotors and pads. The pads had about 40% left on them but were unevenly worn. The rotors were slightly warped, not sure how since its driven 10miles RT a day on city streets for a commute and not racing around or anything.Installation of the rotors was straightforward, there were instructions on which rotor goes on which side (the angle of the slots and drilled holes). That was easy. I didn't feel any oil on the surface as I have with Duralast or other brand rotors, but I still wiped them down with brake cleaner.The pads look good and have provided good stopping power, not noticing any dust so far. This particular car design, the caliper piston boot was difficult to hold back to allow the pad to make good solid contact.Followed the bed in procedure, all seemed to work well since then.Extremely affordable when compared to OEM/Mazda, or even your local Autozone junk- Duralast was going to be $200+ this was a steal for the price.

I bought the R1 front and rear rotor and ceramic brake package for my Mercedes Benz e350 and they stop Great. Also after I seated the pads there is very little in any brake dust.

I installed these on my 2008 mustang and found that one of the new front brake rotors was warped. I could spin the wheel and it would spin freely until one certain spot and then it would grab. I contacted the support person. There was literally a rooster crowing in the background as I was trying to tell her my problem. She said I had to take it to a certified shop and get a statement saying the rotor was warped and then she would send it to the technical team. I asked if I could send a video of my own showing that it is obviously warped. She said no. She said I could send them all in for a refund. That would mean that I have to remove everything again. I regret this purchase. I’ve decided to remove the front rotors and have them turned (machined) to see if that will solve the problem. My advise, don’t buy from this company.

These rotors & ceramic pads fit perfect on my Mercedes E350. Everything fit like a glove. Let me just say that the dealership quoted well over $1000.00 to replace all 4 rotors & pads. Took 1/2 a day in °90 heat but well worth the savings. I opted for the black coated rotors to help with rust. They look great on the vehicle. Pads give off very little dust if any and stop smooth after the break in procedure was completed. (Yes, ceramic brake pads have a brake in procedure to adhere perfectly to the rotors.) Hats off to R1 Concepts for this kit. Couple hundred miles so far and stopping power is actually more responsive & better than the oem semi-metallic. I have not heard any noise or felt any vibration so far. Brakes for domestic vehicles are a dime a dozen. If your up for a DIY & if your trying to save some $$$ on your BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc. ( Foreign expensive cars ) try R1 Concepts first to see if they have a kit for you.

It's been a little while now since I've had this installed on my vehicle, what I can say is, the rotors seen well-designed, but the brake pads are nothing special, so I am comparing the braking power of this set, to the previous brake pads and rotors I had on my vehicle, honestly the rotors I had on my vehicle were not that good before, but the brake pads were excellent, in comparison I would say the brake pads with the not-so-good rotors I had on my vehicle before this purchase gave me better stopping power, but in all fairness, I'm thinking that if I buy the same brake pads I had before this purchase and combined them with the rotors I just purchased, they would provide an even better stopping power than anything I've had on my vehicle before, like I said, the rotors seen well-made, but the brake pads they come with are nothing special, so in the future I will be purchasing the same rotors without the brake pads if possible, and using the old brake pads I had previously before this purchase, originally I had the oex brake pads.
