I have suffered lots with coldsores over the years and I have finally found a decent routine that helps. It does not completely eradicate the cold sore as I think that is something that is not possible as yet, but the followng will help other cold sore suffers.Firstly I take 1000MG of Lysine everyday, this has some scientific studies that are proven to reduce the rate of coldsores and the frequency (and in some cases severity).Whenever I have a tingle I immediately use HERPOthermTo use HERPOtherm, just turn the device on (there’s a red light to indicate when it’s turned on). Press the ceramic contact surface gently to your skin, and wait. The plate will warm up to around 51 degrees, for 3 seconds. The device will then turn off automatically. After turning the device on, a red light appears, and the ceramic contact surface will heat up to 51 degrees for three seconds, before automatically turning off. You can repeat this process up to five times in one hour, for maximum effect. REMEMBER KEEP DOING THIS EVEN IF YOU THINK THE COLD SORE HAS BEEN BEATEN - I once stopped and it started to develop againThere haven’t been any large scale studies to prove whether this type of device is effective, but a small study conducted on 100 patients in 2013 found that heat therapy was just as effective as coldsore creams, and could also reduce healing time for coldsores by as much as 50%. (Wohlrab J, et al., Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology 2013, 6:263-271).As well as this my final routine is to use a home remedy of essential oils (Tea Tree, Peppermint, Thyme, Lemon Balm and Chamomile in a carrier oil) I apply this a couple of times a day.This routine as reduced outbreaks significantly (so long as I get plenty of rest) and when I do get a breakout they only last about 4 days before it's gone. The key method for me is the HERPOtherm, it seems to break down the cold sore and stops it developing and the essential oils help relieve sore and any swelling I may have.

Meine Überschrift sagt es bereits.Als ich den Stick neu hatte, habe ich es komplett ohne Aciclovir-Salbe versucht und wurde enttäuscht. Wenn man ihn zusätzlich zur Salbe verwendet kann er die Heilung jedoch deutlich beschleunigen. Statt wie früher nur stündlich Salbe aufzutragen setze ich also erst den Hitzestift an und mache anschließend Salbe drauf. Das reduziert die Zeit der Abheilung etwa um die Hälfe.Die Hitze soll sowohl die Herpesviren töten als auch die Haut durch die "Fast-Verbrennung" zur Regeneration anregen. Da wären wir allerdings auch beim großen Haken den Sticks. Die Temperatur die er erzeugt sorgte bei mir zwar nie für Verbrennungen oder Narbenbildung, aber liegt knapp an der erträglichen Schmerzgrenze. Je nachdem wo man den Stick ansetzen muss und wie fest man ihn aufdrückt ist es mal erträglich mal schlimmer. Wenn man irgendwann meint abgehärtet zu sein, weil man den Hitzeimpuls ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken wegsteckt, dann ist es mal wieder Zeit die Batterie auszutauschen. Ladegerät zuzulegen, da er mit speziellen Fotozellen betrieben wird, die teuer sind und leider nicht lange durchhalten. Immerhin muss jede Menge Hitze erzeugt werden. Trotz allem würde ich den Stick jederzeit wieder kaufen, weil er die Heilung wirkungsvoll unterstützt.

Ich bekomme leider ziemlich regelmäßig Herpes, oft blieb es nicht bei einer Blase und ich habe an mehreren Stellen an der Lippe gleichzeitig Bläschen bekommen. Habe von dem Stift erst mal keine Wunder erwartet, aber was probiert man nicht alles aus um die lästigen und schmerzenden Bläschen zu eliminieren. Der Herpes wird direkt im Keim erstickt und bleibt somit auch für das menschliche Umfeld unsichtbar. Ich würde den Stift immer wieder kaufen und kann ihn wirklich empfehlen.

Having cold sores only recently I did wonder what would stop them developing, look up many articles on cures and solutions etc. I think you have to find one thing that works for you and nothing else really will, and this is brilliant. As soon as a tingle starts put this on the cold sore, press the button once and then leave it to scab (very small if at all noticeable) and its done. No creams or anything like that just use this, had it over 12 months battery is still going, probably had around 4 cold sores in those 12 months and all of them never developed over the size of a pin head.

This is the second one I've bought - as a back up to the first which is still working after 3 years. I keep it with me all the time. Any hint of a coldsore (and I had a spate of suffering with them almost constantly for a couple of years), I just hold the tip to my lip, press the button and a second or so of heat (which is quite bearable), can be felt. Since I've used these, I have certainly stopped most coldsores in their tracks and the ones which developed overnight before I could zap them haven't turned into full blown ones because I've zapped them with this several times as soon as they've appeared. I never ever leave home without it.
