642 Tiny Things to Write About

Bought this for the son who is a write to help keep those creative juices flowing. Sometimes we need our brains to go in a different direction to get us out of a rut. The prompts are clever and the idea is fun.

Fair warning for parents: This is not the present you want to buy for your twelve-year-old, unless you are comfortable about having them write about reviewing employees of a brothel for a six month evaluation. With that said, it really is a neat book for burgeoning authors who may be struggling with ideas for stories. I gave it to my boyfriend after I realized that it was not appropriate for my pre-teen niece. He loves it and it has already helped him think of some potential storylines.

This is a fun book of writing prompts. I randomly choose scenarios each day to amuse myself by writing short stories, movie scripts, fan fiction, poetry, and whatnot. This book is too tiny to write in if you enjoy workbooks. My prefence is to write in a large sketchbook and add sketches to the stories. Writing in my book landed me in after school detention in 8th grade, so that habit was broken way back in 1987. I'd buy this book as a gift.

I like this book a lot! It's going to come in handy for when I go on vacation and need something to do while sitting around. This is really fun, and once you get into it, it's hard to stop! I was a little surprised on how literally tiny it is, although, which makes it a bit difficult to write in.

Wish it was easier to write in. That being said, if you're expecting the non-lay-flat-ness of it, it's great! Great prompts. I'm a writer and i continually go back to these books for inspiration when I'm stuck, or when I just want to have fun writing. If it's hard to write in, just read the prompts and write your exercises in a different notebook. (That also means multiple people could potentially benefit from the book!)

Now I’m not an avid writer, but I bought this for the moments I feel like jotting some things down. It’s a fun little book you can take with you (if you want to) and can possibly help to jumpstart your imagination or lead to a longer story/narrative if you’re into that sorta thing.

The tiny things to write about has great simple writing prompts in it. I used this book with a couple other writing prompts to write about a character and a scene, I actually used this book more, it really made me think and work as a writer.

Love this little book, its great as a conversation starter, and we love going into deep hypothetical discussions with the prompts in here. Great for lng drives too.

Beautiful, pocket-sized book, convenient to carry everywhere. I teach creative writing and sometimes when my students run out of ideas I lend them this book and they enjoy choosing prompts to help their creativity. Great buy!

highly Recommend. I was skeptical before buying, but I'm so glad I did. I have already made a habit to write at least one entry every day.
