Product worked perfectly
Had to fix an improperly cut metal door frame in my apartment. Latch wouldn’t catch. The width of this product made for a cheap and easy fix allowing for room for error.

Works very well
I received this door strike today, it came well packaged and is just what I expected. It works exactly as it should and seem well made.Overall, this purchase perfectly matches its description, and I am extremely satisfied with the product. It definitely deserves a five-star rating and I would purchase again!

Good for a settling house
Yes my house is settling, it is getting old and this replaced the original striker plate and allowed for adjustments which is what I needed, there is need for clearance between the door and door jam though and some wood chiselling might be necessary as well as longer screws. It did the job though and for that I am happy.

Made it work, but not a good solution
I made this work but it is poorly designed. It doesn't fit into the same spot as a standard strike plate, so you have to mortise/cut a larger cut-out in to the door frame for this to fit. The screw spacing also does not match those of a standard strike plate so you have to plug/fill the existing hole so that the screw for this strike plate doesn't strip. After doing all of this work, tightening down the screws bends the two metal plates so that they have a slight V shape - which can snag someone's clothing if not careful.I'm generally surprised by the lack of options on the market for an adjustable strike plate. I needed one to help my door close tighter against the door frame, just 1/8th of an inch or so. In retrospect I could have just moved the existing strike plate as it was the same amount of work to cut a new recess and plug/fill/move the screw holes.

Awesome
Great striker plate. Adjustable is a must when you have French doors. Fixed the problem I was having with lock.

Good
What I was trying to fix?I wanted my door to close snugly without it rattle back and forth. I also needed the smart lock to be able to lock without having to push the door closed.Problems I ran into:The plate is definitely longer than my traditional plate. I had to use a wood chisel to knock out some of the wood. I traced the plate then chiseled out the wood. It was relatively easy. The second problem I ran into was that I had to position the plate quite bit to the back of the frame. Meaning when I close the door, the door would have hit the wood frame first before it hit the strike plate. So I re-positioned it more towards the front and hope for the best. Third problem I ran into was the screws. The screws were quite long and I got to a point where I felt resistance and didn't want to drill in further. So I opted for shorter screws which i did have some on hand. Fourth problem, the locking plate does sit flush with the striking plate if you have a flush screw. Unfortunately, the screws I had wasn't flush so stuck out a bit which hit the door everytime I tried to close. I could have fixed this by running to the hardware store but I ended up forgoing the locking plate. I screw directly to the striking plate and it worked!Door closes snugly, there is very little play when I pull on the knob, and my smart lock didn't need additional assistance to lock on its own.Overall, I did have to customized it for my needs but the design was sound and it works. The plate does feels solid and looks great. Price was fantastic. As long as you understand this isn't a drop in plate and you will need to customize it to your fit, you should be good.

Works
I purchased this specifically for the two spaces that go under the plate. We have an interior door that won't latch in the winter due to less moisture in the wood. It barley latched in the summer. This part has two small spacers (perfect size) that fit between the plate and the door frame.I used those spaces on my existing latch. Worked great and my issue was fixed in less then 10 min.

Your door best friend!
When i put my new outside door 2 weeks ago, i put my "regular" strike plate a little too tight (amateur) and the door was hard to close, it needed a big swing, now with this one, you can close it with one finger and it sits tight on the weather strip! Take your time to ajust it right and you wont believe how good your door with close perfectly! Will buy again for sure!

Just okay
Used this solution to fix a poorly installed patio door strike plate, results are flimsy at best, maybe due to weakened jamb structure on an older door. Best suited for an interior application/light duty. This said, still way cheaper than replacing a $1500 door set. It'll do for now.

Cheap, but functional...
It has washer-like things with notches in them, to assumeably make adjustments easy. But they are so cheap, the screw heads pull right through them. Bottom line is, you don't need them for the strike plate to be adjustable...so if you buy these, save the aggrevation and just toss those in the bin to start with.

Do Not Buy These
They don’t work. No matter how much you tighten them they still slide. They are absolute crap
