OlBuWa Coffee Tamper, Espresso Coffee Press Tamper Coffee with Silicone Tamper Mat (49mm)

First impression is how heavy it is and I saw this initially as a negative. But actually was surprised how much better it works than the plastic ones you get when buying a £300 coffee maker like my SMEG. The compression of the coffee makes all the difference. . . Just don’t drop it on your foot or a tiled kitchen floor! It looks quite stylish sitting next to the machine.

I used a precision caliper to check and the tamper press I received is only 56.8mm wide, not as advertised. I had to return it and can't recommend it for 58mm filter baskets, as it leaves a gap on the sides.
