However its really good apart from that
IT WORKS ....Although the gulls will try to come around if the wind stops ! However its really good apart from that .

Very misleading
Very misleading advert. Do not assume you can simply place this on boat canopy. In order to do that you require a £90 sand bag with the fitting mount. I'm sure once you've got all this stuff it'll work great but the wait time on the sand bag is 2 weeks plus so won't be able to review the actual product until then.

Highly recommended.
My Beneteau is the closest boat to the shore on it's swinging mooring and because of this it is the favourite roost of the local gull family. Apart from vast quantities of poo (which stains the white fibreglass) most of the boat was covered in muddy footprints. Every use of the boat had to be preceded by a total washdown of the topsides. Like many others I tried all sorts of methods to dissuade them, including a plastic owl and heron. These worked for a week or so until the gulls got used to them, when they returned with a vengeance ...on one occasion they even built a seaweed nest on the foredeck!!!In desperation I bought the gullsweep and was amazed by the result. It instantly kept the birds away. Apart from the constant movement, the device makes a small slapping noise as the 'flaps' flip over on each revolution. That was last season and after many months of use it is still doing its job. The only criticism is that if you get any long periods with no wind whatsoever the gulls will return - but you need several days of flat calm weather before they do ...and when the breeze returns, they are kept at bay again. The Gullsweep works in the slightest breeze ...and I find that occasionally cleaning and lubricating the mounting pin and 'flaps' helps. The Gullsweep is easily removed before you set off - just release the retaining clip and lift it off the mounting. The arms can then be folded up to save space for stowage in a locker.
