Amazingly compatible to natural human flow and form for a 'mouse' or pointer device
Our bodies were not made to utilize a typical 'mouse'. While the concept is straight forward and simple, the reality is that the positioning of a mouse and movement are not normal, natural movement for the back, neck, shoulder, elbow and wrist.I have been through just about all of the different ergonomic keyboards and pointer or 'mouse' type devices on the market and this one was unique right up front because it takes the typical 'mouse' and fundamentally changes how the pointer system operates. Bringing the bar dead center in front of the computer user greatly reduces repetitive strain injuries common in the shoulder and elbow from having to constantly reach and hold the arm out to the right or left to move the mouse around. This allows your body function to change to using the major muscles to manage the arm and mouse movement, as opposed to hanging your arm off to the side and utilizing smaller muscles which tire and end up getting hurt easily. The pointer or 'mouse' is now a roller bar with a light, rubberized surface that does not slip under your hand and is very easily manipulated left/right and rolled forward (up) and backward (back). Further, because the RollerMouse bar and buttons are now dead center in front of the body movement can be accomplished with either or both arms/hands. One can easily and periodically alternate which hand/arm you are using for manipulating the RollerMouse bar, allowing both arms a chance to participate in movement as well as a chance to rest. When the mouse is off to the right or left side, you are pretty much locked into using the mouse there, unless you want to keep moving the mouse from one side to the other. The buttons are a light press and easy to manipulate with the either the Roller hand or, better, with the alternate hand/arm thereby allowing the Roller hand/arm to remain relaxed with the Roller bar.I routinely operate the RollerMouse with each arm/hand throughout the day, allowing each shoulder a chance to rest and change position.Fine tuning/graphic pointing skills: I thought the RollerMouse would take much more effort to learn how to manage fine tuning pointing skills, such as for graphics, etc. I was prepared for this, but, amazingly it took almost not effort at all to re-train and utilizing the RollerMouse for very fine movements is even easier than some other pointer devices I have used. The RollerMouse is an intuitive angle and design for the body to operate efficiently with.I was at a point where using any mouse or other pointer off to the side was simply not possible any longer. The RolleMouse is much more compatible to the natural flow and function of the body and more comfortable than any other pointer device I have used and has reduced my RSI issues greatly.Downside: Because it is a straight bar, it is not really compatible with curved, ergo-style keyboards where this straight bar will sill between the user's seat and keyboard and the user must then reach for the curved keyboard, which brings back movements which are inefficient. OK with keyboards which "tent" in the middle, but, not curved keyboards.

Much easier on the arms and wrists.
I developed tendonitis and my doctor suggested this after her employees purchased this for her. It has worked amazingly to reduce the strain. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it has a memory, so if you are working on a small area of your program and then you try to move the mouse to the left or right you hit this virtual wall which you have to keep banging against till you finally get through. It is definitely annoying, but I've learned to put up with it because of the reduced strain. If you hold the mouse against this wall then it finally goes further left or right. The keys double click and other functions don't work in all programs, like my property mngmnt. program. Also I needed to get a deeper keyboard tray because of the depth of the front pad and my apple numerical keyboard was to deep for the old pull out tray. If they could fix the range of the mouse then it would get 5 stars. They also use a sticker for identifying the click buttons, which is coming off, they should just print it on the plastic instead. I haven't found some of the buttons to work as labeled, but maybe that's just the program I use.

and I don't like that I have to move my hands from the ...
I previously owned a similar mouse by RollerMouse that was purchased in 2014. After leaving my job and leaving that mouse with my former company, I couldn't find that model anywhere online, so I settled for this mouse. There are a few things that really bother me about this newer model. One, is the cover over the actual roller bar that forces you to move your hand to center to use the mouse. The purpose of the mouse is to reduce strain, and I don't like that I have to move my hands from the right and left sides, respectively (I have a split keyboard) to use the mouse. Second, the mouse is strangely very long. It extends to the right side of my keyboard about 6 inches. I also don't really understand why the controls are so far to the left. Overall this mouse works fine but I wish there were other options that fit my needs.

Pretty much useless
There is no substitute for a mouse. I gave it a few days of use. But I was constantly running out of room to move with the bar before I got to the edge of the screen. When this happens, you press extra hard toward the direction you want to go, and the cursor zips to the edge of the screen. There is no way that I am getting used to doing that. Run out of room, zip to the edge and then come back. No.They also say you can make the cursor more sensitive to prevent running out of room, but the default setting was even too sensitive for me.Instant deal breaker. No offense to the people who say they work faster than ever with this device, but they must not have worked very fast in the first place

Great product, defective software
I thought my MS trackball was the most convenient mouse-type device on the market, until I noticed someone using the RollerMouse Pro2. It beats every other device in the category, hands down.BUT if you want to reconfigure the buttons -- for example, use a button of your own choice for Right-click -- you'll be frustrated to the max. The manufacturer hired an outside programmer to create the software, and it has a huge flaw: EVERY TIME you restart your computer or wake it up, you will be unable to use the Pro2 until you unplug it from the USB port, and plug it back in again! When I called the company, the man I spoke to said he had been trying to get the programmer to fix the problem for some time, but still has not received an upgrade that corrects the issue. I suggested hiring a different programmer, but it was clear from his response that he did not have any interest in doing this. Sort of a "screw the customer" attitude.Be warned.
