Petzl S92 L SPATHA Knife, Large

Sharp knife but it does NOT open with one hand. Also, it does NOT clip into a 'biner or at least only into very specific ovals and then only if you clip it in one direction. Overall I expected a lot more from Petzl being they are a climbing company. The size is too large for a knife on your harness but I am sure there are way better products. I ordered the small size after I ordered this one and the small was about the right size but it still suffered the "won't clip into a biner" issue.To be fair it doesn't say anywhere these knives should work one handed...

The Spatha knife Is a clever idea--a knife that can be opened by rotating its joint even if one is wearing gloves. Pretzel, however, elected to design the knife without a safety lock of any kind. Perhaps Petzal thinks it is safer to have a climbing knife that doesn't lock, but I wouldn't use a knife that didn't--a cut hand or finger would be no picnic on a pitch, or anywhere for that matter. So this knife gets consigned to the clever ideas that didn't fly drawer. If you don't worry about such things, you' ll probably find the tool just fine. The plastic handle is attractive in its complementary colors and the blade looks servicible, along the line of an inexpensive Mora blade steel--nothing elegant, but probably just fine for most cutting task. Just mind your fingers.

I gave this to my boss a while back. She loved it and used it to fend off a mountain troll and several goatmen. With its quick access hole she removed it from her beener and was able to escape with the gold.Great knife!

Ein sehr schönes Messer. Variante L, glatte Klinge, Farbe Blau. Der Stahl ist von hervorragender Güte. Allerdings lässt es sich nicht mit einer Hand öffnen!!

J'ai pris le grand modèle, celui avec le manche bleu.La forme du couteau n'en donne pas une image agressive ce qui à mes yeux est un atout.La prise en main est très agréable. Fermé, le couteau reste assez discret glissé au fond d'une poche.Le choix des matériaux en fait un couteau léger et facilement nettoyable.Le système d'ouverture est inhabituelle et pas toujours facile avec les mains humides.Le gros anneaux permet d'accrocher le couteau à un mousqueton, petit plus bien penser.Bref un couteau très agréable mais perfectible pour l'utilisation outdoor.

直刃なので波刃のSオレンジと比べると、物が切りにくい。Sオレンジ1本あればいいかなと感じ、ほとんど使わなくなりました。
