I needed a back up system for climbing my mast and this rope clamp (jumar) did the job.It took a while to sus out the best way to operate especially descending. But with any work at height kit you should make sure it is fit for purpose and you are familiar in how it operates.

Just as I expected great bit of kit

It works and works fine. But if it has had a heavy load, then you try to take it off the rope, it's not the easiest thing to get off. It's almost impossible to do one handed. The lever to disengage it just isn't well designed, so it jams and you have to use two hands to unjam.It's not the end of the world, and it is a budget price, so I can't complain really.

I bought these to help me haul myself up my ropes as I have gained some extra weight, I was not expecting the best quality for this price but they actually work rather well for budget priced hand ascenders, they grip my 12mm ropes really well and they hold my 16st I have used them constantly over the last few days and have not slipped or done anything worrying, they slide up my ropes really well and they lock onto the ropes really quickly when under tension seem to be a good pair of ascenders but time will tell, otherwise recommended

A really great product and serves me well as a rope access technician on a daily basis. It is light, comfortable and very good looking. It’s a wonderful buy.
