My dogs are obsessed — and I love the quality!
My dogs absolutely love these! They’ll do anything for them — perfect for training or just rewarding good behavior. I really appreciate that there are no fillers or mystery ingredients — just real, whole food like beef, chicken, fish, organs, and superfoods. The high protein content is a huge plus, and the pieces are the perfect size right out of the bag — no crumbling or breaking needed. One heads-up: the smell is pretty intense when you first open the bag (definitely raw and real!), so I recommend portioning some out for the day if you’re using them for training. Totally worth it for how much my dogs enjoy them. Will definitely keep buying!

My dog LOVES this
At first it takes a while to get used to. I mixed equal parts of food to hot tap water and it seemed to soak in easier than room temp or cold water. My dog Bailey is 10lbs and the daily recommended portion is 1/3 of a cup of food. We feed her twice per day and according to the bag, that would be 1/6 of a cup in the morning and 1/6 of a cup at dinner time.Everything I read states that is the right amount of food for her. I am giving her 1/3 of a cup in the morning and another 1/3 of a cup for dinner. The bag suggests 1 part water to 2 parts food. But says that you can mix to your dog’s liking.I chose to do equal amounts of water to food and I use hot tap water and let the food sit in the water to soak it in for 10 minutes. I pour out any standing water and I mix in some of her dry food just so that she eats something crunchy to help get the tarter off of her teeth.I know that we really don’t know what our dogs are thinking, but since Bailey started eating this food, she has started to stand by her dish and bark which is not something she has done in the past even with refrigerated dog foods.I am still having a hard time with dividing 1/3 of a cup of food in half and only giving her that much so I am giving her two full servings per day since she is so full of energy I know she has to be burning enough calories that she will maintain her weight.I do mix in her hard food in case she gets hungry for more. Yes this is way more expensive than other types of dog food, but would you feed your family hot dogs every day because you don’t want to pay for healthier options? Nope. So why would you do that to your dog?I know the bag is 16oz and I expected like maybe two cups of food was going to be in the bag, but since there is nothing but the ingredients on the bag, the food is extremely light. My dog Bailey loves it so much that she has resorted to standing by her food and water bowls and first she whines a bit and if we tell her “all done!” She will bark. But since we keep dry food around, I mix her new freeze dried food with her dry food and she picks out all the freeze dried food and leaves the rest. I’d say she more than likes it.Please excuse the mess around her food. She leaves her toys anywhere. Usually by her food we think to keep a better eye on them. But the picture is of what happenens when she finishes. She barks for more. I think that is a testament to how much she loves it. Try one bag. The feeding instructions are right there and it is a great compromise if you feed her the daily recommended amount and give your dog healthy treat options. If you blow the picture of the bag I attached up, you can see for yourself. So give it a try. Your dog will love you.The ONLY downfall is that she can smell it when you open the bag and she doesn’t like waiting but you really should let it soak up the water.

Great ingredients
I have been using Dr. Marty's freeze dried dog food for about 7 years as a topper for my now 10 year old cocker spaniel (17 pounds). It made a big difference in her coat and energy levels. I found this food about a year ago for less money and when you look at the ingredients and protein/fat and other percentages, they are very close to Dr. Marty's. I now use a mix of this food, Dr. Marty's, Badland's Ranch, and Ultimate Pet Nutrition dog foods. My dog loves them all and looks forward to her meals. My daughter who lives with us has a larger dog (45-50 pounds, 7 years old) who also loves this food. I generally give the larger dog dried kibble and use these other foods as toppers to save money, though she generally leaves the kibble behind and only eats these better foods. When she was only getting kibble, she started acting like her joints were stiffer when she would get up/move around. Since adding more of these freeze dried healthy dog foods to her dish, it has made a big improvement in her mobility.Besides giving them both better health/energy/mobility, their teeth are cleaner (the vet even commented on that, and I don't brush her teeth) and poops smaller as they don't need as much food and this seems to have less fillers than normal kibble. When I was only using it as a topper, not as the main food, my dog would still scoot her bum on the floor, but if I only feed her the freeze dried dog foods without adding kibble, she doesn't have that problem. Both dogs have less joint stiffness than other dogs their ages.I also still add a topper to their food [grind whole flax and pumpkin seed in a high speed blender until they are powder, then add the rest and blend them all together]: 1 cup ground flax seed, 2/3 cup ground raw pumpkin seeds (Winco bulk food), 1/2 cup freeze dried liver (beef/chicken from Costco/Amazon), 1 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp wormwood, 1/4 tsp clove. The clove and wormwood prevent worm infestations (they have had their poop checked for worms and it was always negative.) Turmeric helps with joint stiffness. If your dog scoots on the floor, you can add 2-4 Tbs psyllium Fiber to stiffen up their poops if needed, or add more flax seed. I also try to include probiotics such as milk kefir/buttermilk/yogurt/sour cream with live and active cultures mixed with a fresh egg a few times a month, and sometimes I'll add cooked pumpkin as well. Occasionally I'll give her a raw grass fed beef hamburger patty as a treat. My point here is that as far as freeze dried dog foods go, this one costs less and has similar ingredients as the others I have tried. So far, I haven't had any bags go bad, but between the 2 dogs, we go through them fairly fast and I live in a dry climate.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
I would like to share with everyone who is thinking about buying this product. DON'T BUY AND WASTE YOUR MONEY. MY DOG WOULD NOT EAT IT. SO I EMAILED THE COMPANY, I DID NOT HEAR BACK FROM THEM, SO I CALLED THE PERSON THAT ANSWERED A LADY WAS VERY RUDE. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT MY DOG WOULD NOT EAT THE FOOD. I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD GET A REFUND. SHE DID NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING I WAS SAYING. I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH A PERSON LIKE HER. I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD GET EVEN 1 STAR. I HOPE YOU TAKE MY ADVICE- DON'T BUY!!!!!!!

Has beef, chicken and fish and my dog loves it
My dog loves this food. It has beef, chicken and fish, which most of the other freeze dried raw foods don’t have. I’ll be buying this again.
