Healing
I’ve been burning these weekly since I’ve been going through a tough time. I have noticed an overall improvement in my moods but I’ve also been diving more deeply into my spirituality at the same time. I love the smell. Reminds me of safe but maybe with a faint clove smell. Not sure what it is but it’s nice. I recite positive affirmations while burning. Hope they bring you joy. Also keep in mind that it rough to keep these lit so you have have to keep relighting but I don’t mind.

Palo Santo smells like a burning sweet sage to me.... I purchased these for meditation reasons but I will be using it for insect repellent for outdoors. The smell stays for a whole day .

On the fence
Burn time is really quick. These sticks are gone fast. Don't last long at all. I have bought some before from another company and they last longer, but the sticks were also thicker. I'm not a Palo Santo expert, but IDK I feel like they are burned and gone way too quickly.

Almost-certainly NOT palo santo — Nondescript wood doused with artificial fragrance
Something is wrong with these “palo santo” sticks. Upon burning, and after burning, they and the space both smell like plain ol' burnt wood; ESPECIALLY when immediately A/B tested with legit palo santo, which I luckily had on hand. Burnt wood can be a pleasant smell, sure, but this is a clear sign that something isn't quite adding up here.Further, the sticks come absolutely doused in-package with a potent [and clearly artificial] “palo santo scent” that was so strong that, when I left the collected sticks in the open air, the smell began to quickly take on an unpleasant similarity to ammonia, brought about a headache, and, to exaggerate to make the point, cat litterbox PTSD. Did anyone else have this experience? To be clear: the sticks smell unusually, nauseatingly, artificially STRONG right out of the package, and then once burned, do not smell like palo santo at all, nor does the space. Curious. We should all, sadly, know better when purchasing from an anonymous merchant that uses AI voices and stock imagery in their marketing videos to tell you how just how authentic they are.
