The quality, design, and construction are totally great. Assembly was easy in spite of a lack of instructions; there are only four pieces to put together and there are small letter labels that show where each piece goes. Included are 4 bolts that hold the legs to the bench and 4 more to hold the legs to the shelf, plus 4 wood screws to hold the shelf to the legs. Perfect design! They also included an extra screw and bolt just to make sure there were no problems. The color of the wood is terrific and the workmanship is top shelf. No sign of damage after shipment from the Philippines. Even though it was pricier than others, it is heavy and solid and worth the extra money. This women-owned company from the Philippines is well-worth a look.

We recently remodeled our master bathroom, and I wanted to decorate it in a "Zen spa" theme. I decided to use natural materials like teak and acacia wood wherever possible, so this teak stool was exactly what I was looking for. It is very sturdy and boy is it SOLID! The wood is seriously thick and heavy. Assembly was straight-forward, with 8 Allen screws in all that needed to be inserted and tightened. The only issue I had was with the alignment of the holes, which was slightly off on a couple of them. But I was still able to tighten the screws all the way into their intended holes, it just took a little extra effort to get past the misalignment. We remodeled our shower to be a Roman walk-in style, so the stool gets exposed to some water since it's right at the edge of the shower opening (which has no door - look at the photos to see what I mean). This stool is so heavy and solid that my wife can put her foot on it to shave her legs and I can put my foot on it to dry my legs and it doesn't tilt or slide at all. I know it's not cheap, but you're definitely getting what you're paying for with this item!

I bought this product three years ago and I’m writing the review now because Wow! This stool is used daily in a wet environment and still looks beautiful, with no signs of water damage. The construction feels purposeful and solid, and the stool itself is very sturdy. Overall, this has been one of my best purchase both functional and well made.

Beautiful teakwood bench for my shower. Exactly as described by the manufacturer. I love the way it's built because it's very secure you sit on it and you feel comfortable. No worries of it tipping over, it's heavy but it's not too large. the wood is very smooth and a beautiful color. This design with these types of legs is very secure and very sturdy. this bench I expect will last many many years into the future. And because of this I already purchased teakwood oil to be able to help keep this bench in pristine condition into the future. Item was exactly as described. So happy with my purchase.

I am happy and impressed with this EcoDecors shower bench. The solid teak is gorgeous with a beautiful smooth finish and really enhances the room. It is sturdy and weighs over 17 pounds with 4 adjustable rubber feet. It takes only 6 screws to assemble. The fit is tight but it comes together perfectly when the screws are tightened all the way. An Allen wrench is included but I’d advise using a ratchet screwdriver with a hex head to tighten everything to the max.

Perfect for the shower. My husband loves it, very comfortable, sturdy, easy to put together. The wood is beautiful. It fits perfectly in our large shower. Thank you.

Based on the pictures and reviews, I expected a nice piece of furniture. I was not disappointed. The teak is beautifully finished and looks very rich. It does not appear to have a "finish" or buildup of polyurethane or other coating. Just nice wood that has been oiled. Some who reviewed this said that they were disappointed because the holes did not match up when they installed the hardware (8 screws with hex heads). The holes matched up perfectly and I was able to install the screws in about 10 minutes. I wanted them to be tight, so I really worked at getting maximum torque on the screws. The only inferior part was the allen wrench included for installation. It is made out of a softer metal and I rounded the edges so that it was no longer suitable to tighten the screws. I have an allen wrench set so this did not present a problem for me. I definitely give this stool 5 stars in all aspects. I like the idea that it comes from a fair-trade, women owned business in Indonesia. I could not be more happy with this. I expect that the wood is going to lose its "new look", but I also ordered the cleaner and oil to maintain its rich appearance.

Pros: Very solid and attractive design. It is heavy enough that it should be stable in the shower. The holes are pre-drilled for easy assembly (although It is definitely easier with 2 people). Cons: one of the pre-drilled holes was misaligned, making final assembly difficult and meaning the seat is not quite flush with the legs. The nature of the structure doesn’t give you any real play in the screw location. It also is a little bit out of perfect balance when placed on a flat surface, with a small amount of wobbling.

I ordered this thinking I was paying $209, but when it arrived it was $356. Was going to return it due to price increase but when I saw the teak wood, I decided to splurge and keep it. Very simple to put together, tool included plus a spare of each screw. Beautifully made, finished and designed. So graceful. Very sturdy/solid. Gave me security in the shower after knee replacement. Everything is so typical of a company being owned and operated by women. I am so glad I kept it despite the price increase.

I ordered this amazing product, and it took at least ten days to arrive, upon delivery the oiter box was fairly in tact I unboxed the various components to find that the tob wooden bracket from one of the sides was broken down the middle, probably an item defect, so I ordered a refund and will buy the same item again.

I looked around a lot trying to find a quality well built bench. When I read EcoDecors story and how they support the local artisans who craft these fine benches I was sold. I love a company who has a social purpose and are not just in business to take advantage of others. The bench arrived in 1 Day ...super fast delivery. Not exactly as advertised as it did require assembly but that was very easy with very good hardware and the tool to do the job. BUT WOW am I impressed with the quality of this bench. Very well made with a very high end finish. 100% I would buy this bench again. Well Done EcoDecors!
