Should gave purchased one years ago .
Have wanted one for years but thought would be more difficult to use than it was. Despiye it always looking easy. The size is also perfect. What a pleasure to use on a crene brulle than have to mess around with a grill and not fully being able to see that was happening ... as usually is ...should

the part that most disappoints me is the security button, it tends to move by itself
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. A lighter is an indispensable tool in the kitchen, the lighter is used to start the stove. However, some lighters are special because they have functions far beyond what normal lighters can have.Special lighters can be used for other things like burning a food top, melting cheese, melting or toasting sugar, in other words a lighter like this is very useful in the kitchen.Like all lighters on the market today, they all have some pros and cons.So let's talk about the external qualities of this Coideal Blow Torch, Refillable Kitchen Cooking Torch in particular, it is made of metal parts and plastic parts, which in itself is not a bad thing. The metal parts are solid and very well made in my opinion, so well made that I wonder, how many people made this lighter, because the plastic part of this same Coideal Blow Torch, Refillable Kitchen Cooking Torch is so poorly made and of so little quality that it leaves me questioning, how this is possible. The plastic parts are, the gas quantity control, the safety button and the on and off button.Regarding the plastic buttons, the part that most disappoints me is the security button, it tends to move by itself. If the lighter is moved to left or right, the security button will move to off, or on, depending on the movement.By doing that, it voids its own purpose, and making it absolutely useless. If it happens to be locked or on the off side, just tilt it to the left and it will change to on, the same goes for the opposite side.

Pocket Pyrotechnics
I'm inordinately fond of fruit crumbles (mentioned elsewhere on this site) and it kind of discombobulates me when, to get a decent, hard crust on my crumble, I have to overcook the fruity filling, so this kitchen tool is excellent for getting the sugary crumble at a dark brown, caramelised condition and keeping the fruit still slightly firm like at school, all those years ago (sorry guys, but I liked school dinners mostly). This tool is basically a butane blowtorch a la myriad cookery programmes, that speeds up a process for everything from finishing the skin on a roasted bird to completing a crème brulee, so when needed, it's the perfect cook's aid hence five stars. The flame is adjustable so the more proficient you become, the better at judging the flame power you become, which is useful for beginner's and pro's alike. It has a safety lock for the absent minded and is easily refilled by a widely available butane gas container (as in cigarette lighter refills). It's kind of like the adjustable Bunsen burners of old, so the power of flame is yours to work out, as I said, with use. One teensy tiny criticism is the blurb on the back for it's applications. Perhaps some of it is 'lost in translation' as it comes from China, but one use it apparently has is ''roasting teeth mold'' as well as ''process and welding'' (not recommended as it has a maximum use time of five minutes at a time) and ''repairing household appliances'' (again, not recommended for someone unskilled in this). These 'unusual' usages (what is roasting teeth mold?), do not detract from what a useful kitchen implement, complementing any cook's repertoire, this is and I stress that for cooking purposes, this is definitely worth the five stars I've given it.

Safer using this than matches to light candles and bbq or fire-pit. Safety lock. Gas not included
I haven't managed to get any lighter fuel at the moment, but a friend's got one exactly same as this and theirs is fab; was hoping to buy one myself as Iv used theirs to light candles and the fire-pit; is much much safer and quicker.Amazing price, but ashame didn't come with some lighter -butane fuel so could be used straight out of the box.

Great blow torch
This blow torch is just like a bigger wind proof lighter. It takes lighter fluid as fuel, the flame power can be adjusted to suit. Great for caramelising sugar or grilling raw fish on sushi. Excellent product.
