Great gloves
These gloves are very well made. They fit like a glove(no pun intended), the finger length is perfect. They are flexible and soft for the hand, and sturdy along the forearm.

Good protection
I like the long leather coverage over my arms but I initially purchased the small size and then ordered the extra small size. The extra small fit perfectly but I use either pair depending on what I'm doing outside. They are sturdy but if you pick up enough small sharp rocks, the fingers will wear through eventually.

Great gardening gloves
We really liked the fact that we could prune plants with thorns and NOT get poked or scratched. The length of the glove and the leather prove very protective for the hands and arms.

like butter
Butter soft, great quality great fit, got SEVEN additional pairs for friends as gifts and they love them as much as i do....Sting proof!! Medium fit my girlfriends and large fit my guy friends. I had to get XS for myself as i'm about 5' tall and have small hands. The small was too big for me. They go well up my upper arm not quite to shoulder, but on a 'regular' size person they go up well past your elbow. This feature provides excellent protection from thorns and sharp sticks for yard work, gardening or any outside jobs tough on your hands. One of my girlfriends is using them while leash training her new shepherd for hand protection from him tugging her. Also, they are really warm and would serve well as winter and/or driving gloves. Great product, great price.

Thorn-resistant gloves
I recently purchased these thorn-proof gardening gloves in a size XS, and overall, I am quite pleased with their performance. Here are my thoughts:Fit and Comfort:While the gloves generally fit well, I found the thumb to be too large, leaving quite a bit of space at the tip (see photos). This was a bit of a drawback as it made gripping small tools slightly awkward. However, the rest of the glove fit comfortably and did not hinder my gardening tasks.Performance:These gloves truly excel when it comes to handling thorny plants. I was removing invasive wineberry bushes, and I didn’t feel the thorns at all, which is a testament to the gloves' excellent protection. The elbow-length gauntlet and extended cowhide leather cuff provided ample protection for my forearms, keeping me scratch-free during the entire process.Despite the slightly oversized thumb, these gloves are fantastic for heavy-duty gardening tasks, especially when dealing with thorny plants. Their strength, durability, and excellent protection make them a great choice. If the thumb size issue was improved, these gloves would be perfect.

These are the best!
Update: This wonderful company sent me a larger pair promptly. They are perfect, and work well with my cactus transplanting. (My new, perfectly fitting glove is holding the pot rim.) While I did the first transplant using newspaper (messy, yet safe), once I watered the perlite soil (if new to perlite, please first read instructions, friends), you can see what happened. The larger gloves had arrived by the time I needed to re-pot the cactus pups, with far less perlite LOL. Do spines enter the gloves? Well, yes, although not like they would in another pair of gloves. I just have to be cautious, and I think one entered the morning I worked with them--but not deeply enough to touch my skin.(original review) Quality gloves, yet ran small for meI measured both hands as directed, and my hands fit well within the size small, based on those measurements. My palms were 3-1/2”, and middle fingers were 3-1/4”. I’m 5’9”, so I didn’t really care about the length or check it. The gloves that arrived are too small, though. They don’t reach my finger webbing, and I can’t make a fist without feeling that they’re too tight (both hands). In other words, they are uncomfortable, and I would not want to work with them in my garden. They seem durable and versatile, especially for any kind of thorns or spikes.I was looking for gloves to help with transplanting an overgrown cactus pup, with new pups (all with scary spikes!), a gift from a young grandson years ago. When its flower died before blooming, I figured it was time to repot.I ordered a medium in the gloves today, to see if that will help. I’ll return the small gloves, if the medium gloves fit. In the meantime, searching online for how to transplant a cactus, using thick rubber kitchen gloves and newspaper worked fine. Still, I like pretty and purposeful gloves.

Does protect you from throrns (Updated)
Garden gloves are often cheap garbage. These are leather and cover your forearms. They are made of leather and they do protect you.from getting thorns and as I am allergic to rose and blackberry thrornes I have no worries. They are worth the price, I bought XL as in other gloves and they fit.UPDATE- I have become used to just grabbing a stack of cuttings with the rose/blackberry thrones I am most used to avoiding.I did just grab what I am.thinking may have been milk thistle. The "thornes" were closer to hypodermic needles as being so thin and sharp went through the leather and I had a very uncomfortable time.I am not lowering my rating as the leather was substantial and have allowed me to.grab the other thornes without worry. Just information for anyone who will be using gloves for those evil needle like things one may come across. Perhaps if many are around some other thin but tough against those is available. Otherwise they are still getting lots of duty with rose and blackberry vines and thornes.Just be aware in case you have an allergy. I still think this leather gauntlet style is the way to go.

Comfortable and pritectivey
Got these gloves for rose pruning as I am often scratching my arms on the thorns. They are a comfortable fit and seem like good protection. I wore them today on a warm afternoon and they worked fine.

Good heavy duty gloves for gardening (and cats)
I originally bought these gloves so I could play with my large cat and let him go nuts using his claws without me having to worry about too much bloodshed. These gloves are certainly good at protecting me from his danger blades but he lost interest in playing when I had to gloves on (could be due to the learther smell of the gloves, which I quite like). I use the gloves instead for gardening, especially when trying to control the fast-growing blackberry bushes in the backyard. Yes, they have millions of delicious berries but the branches are covered with huge thorns and the only thing I have ever used that can withstand those thorns while protecting my arms up to the elbow are these gloves. Glad I bought them.

Toppenhandskar
