I've used it plenty for my paints, cuts down mixing time a lot.

Im leaving five stars because my expectations were pretty low given the price of this. I figured if it helped some and I liked it, I'd use it until I could afford a better one down the road. My mind is blown at how well this works. For visualization, I put a small jar of terrain grass on it and as you can see, it tosses and tumbles it immediately. My only complaint is the area in which you apply pressure to begin the vortex is rather tight, so it takes a little trial and error, but it really is astonishing how well this works.

This is fantastic tool for stirring paint. I admit I was a bit skeptical about this mixer, but I was tired of hand shaking or using popsicle sticks to stir my paints. Now that I have had it for a month it is a fantastic model paint mixer, super-fast way to mix paint. Drop a BB inside your bottle and within 15-30 seconds your paint is thoroughly mixed. We'll see long term how it holds up, but for now I would say this is an awesome addition to any modeler's workbench.

I use it for acrylic paints. Works pretty well, although there's a sweet spot you have to press it down in order to get the maximum vibration. If I press too hard/soft or not at the right angle it's not as strong. Worked out of the box and every time I've used it so far.

I never used it in a lab. I did a bunch of tests on the water in my aquarium and they all said to shake the tube for a bit. I could have shaken the tubes by hand, but it was far easier to use this. Just press the tube down on the rubber dome, the switch closed, an unbalanced motor spun and the tube was shaken. The downside is that you have to hold it the entire time. I'm sure you could find a thing that you could stick the tube in to shake it, probably with a timer. This was easy and not all that expensive.

I was honestly pretty skeptical about buying this at first because it seemed like one of those gadgets that sounds useful but ends up collecting dust. After using it for my acrylic paints and hobby supplies though, I can confidently say this thing is an absolute game changer. It mixes paints incredibly well and does it FAST. Paints that normally take several minutes of aggressive shaking are fully mixed in just a few seconds. It especially shines with older paints that have separated badly over time. I’ve used it on Army Painter, Vallejo, Citadel, and other hobby paints and it brought all of them back to a smooth consistency with almost no effort. There’s also something strangely therapeutic and satisfying about using it. The touch activation works instantly, and just watching the vortex form inside the bottle while the pigment mixes perfectly is weirdly addictive. It honestly makes paint prep far less annoying and tedious. The unit itself feels solid and stable on the desk, not cheap or flimsy. It’s compact, easy to use, and has already become one of those tools I reach for constantly without even thinking about it. I genuinely didn’t realize how much time I was wasting manually shaking paint bottles before getting this. If you work with acrylic paints, gel polish, adhesives, inks, or similar materials, this is absolutely worth buying. One of those rare hobby purchases that immediately proves its value after the first use.

I bought the INTLLAB Lab Vortex Mixer in Feb and it stopped working after one month, just after it was too late to return. I used this vortex mixer several times a week to mix nail polish and it served its purpose for that. Because of the continuous vibration transfer to your fingers and hands, it quickly becomes inconvenient when you need to hold the bottles to the agitator for long periods of time. I thought this was going to be a keeper but it ended up being a dud after a few, short weeks. It was noisy fun while it lasted, I suppose. In the end, I found another vortex mixer with a claw clip to hold the nail polish bottles during agitation. Although the new model was more expensive, it has lasted much longer and works much better for my needs.

love love love it, i use this to mix model paint. In under 30 seconds full mixed. Easy to use, just press down. Size doesnt take up much space on my desk. A must have for model builders

Extremely easy to use, worked perfectly right out of the box. If you’re looking for something to mix modelling sized acrylic paint bottles then look no further. It’s slightly slower in comparison to some of the more expensive vortex mixers out there; however, that’s completely offset by the low price of this mixer. I would definitely recommend this mixer if you are a casual hobby painter. Although, if you’re a professional painter and your project time is more valuable then you might consider a more expensive mixer with a higher RPM. In conclusion, great mixer and super affordable.

I have used this to mix my acrylic paints, in a variety of pot sizes, including standard dropper bottles and GW paint pots. It works great, helps my paints last longer by removing the separation effect and also makes mixing a lot easier. Recommended to miniature painting hobbyists.
