A different take on the ball mount secure method, very precision molded plastic, incredibly good working. Does not interfere with base when mounted to a flat surface, thumb screw clears nicely. Does not require much pressure to lock securely. Small in size and obviously not intended for huge loads but is fantastic for it's compact size. This is how high quality precision molded plastic should be. And the price is quite reasonable.

I needed to replace my Swivel Mini Ball Head after seven years and it fit perfectly on my microphone stand that I use to record recipes with my phone. The ball head provides a steady and reliable tool for me to use when I record my videos in the kitchen and want a great angle. The 360 angle option works well as long as you adjust it to your liking then tightening it in place properly. I bought these to be able to hold up a 2oz microphone on top of my DSLR. Neewer makes pretty great stuff and I've trusted them in the past with a lot of things for my cameras and gear around the house. These things though, just seem to really take a lot of force to get them to crank down and not be loose. Just when you have it tight and locked down to both the hot show and the accessory on top, suddenly the middle will be loose. Then you get the middle barrel tight and now suddenly the accessory is loose. It takes a bit more fiddling than I really care for or would expect from Neewer. If these are going to be semi-permanent fixtures on your camera then maybe the extra time to get it all secure is fine. But if you're going to somewhat regularly remove and replace these... depends how you want to spend your time.

This product works great for my studio set up! I use Godox 60 lights that make them very workable.
