Being a retired mechanical engineer, I am usually fairly critical of the stuff we get from China. Outside of that, this unit isn't bad. I put it together in about 20 minutes just by looking at the picture of it. Installation instructions are basically non-existent, so you need to be a bit tech savvy. I'm not sure why this will not leak as all the parts required to assemble are push fit together. I used a rubber mallet to install all the supplied parts in hopes to avoid that. For some reason they supplied Teflon tape as you would use for threaded fittings, but there aren't any ???????? I guess if it does leak I will disassemble and cement together as I would do for any rigid PVC use. Hoping for the best and some good veggies down the line.

If you’re tight on space with limited tools and want something small for a patio to try out for the first time this is perfect. If you want something larger and have more space/tools you can go to a hardware store and make this yourself in an afternoon

Would be great, if:1. …it had decent instructions. Came with a flyer showing a simple overall schematic but mostly it talked about the plant pods.2. …it came with ALL of the parts listed. We only got 3 plugs (that are not on the schematic) and pvc that didn’t match symmetrically on both sides. We didn’t get the lid in the photo or the spacer/adapter for the pipe that goes down into the tank.With the partial list of parts and no decent instructions, I’ve had to substitute parts and guess where everything goes. The pvc it comes with is not in US measurements so I’m unable to replace what is missing without rigging it somehow with glue and duct tape. Now it’s lopsided, uneven & not level and water will only fill the bottom and top plant chambers. No water enters chamber 2 or 3.Now we have no option to return or even order extra parts. Would really like it if the company who sent this to us would send us a new one with ALL the parts.UPDATE: they never sent us anything else. Downgraded to 1 star.

Great unit for what it is...the pipes/cups are a little small though, and the fact that it was listed as working with the AeroGarden Pods is very misleading...The hose the used to connect the pump is NOT good, and they did little to ensure the connection (it pops out often).For the price though...it was a great intro to the concept of NFT Hydroponic gardening.

The build makes it impossible to keep it clean. Everything died

Fun easy kit. Goes together easy, do yourself a favor and get different seeds
