Perfect Bar Original Refrigerated Protein Bar, Best Seller's Variety Pack of 8 Flavors, 2.3-2.5 Ounce Bars, 8 Count (Pack of 3)

With a name like Perfect Bar you have to be a bit skeptical of the product. I have to say that I was not disappointed. This is a refrigerated whole food product. It is refrigerated to keep it fresh and extend the shelf life. There are no preservatives, artificial ingredients or anything else to keep these shelf stable for an extended period of time. They are fine to be kept at room temperature before eating but it is not recommended to store them at room temperature. I prefer them warm- see details below.So what is in these? Nothing bad. Organic everything, well nearly everything. The first ingredient is organic peanut butter followed by organic honey, milk and egg powder, organic- rice protein, flax seed oil, sunflower seed oil, sesame seed oil, olive oil, pumpkin seed oil (all organic) and a really interesting mix of organic dried whole foods (these must be the super foods) kale, flax seeds, rose hip, orange, lemon, papaya, tomato, apple, alfalfa, celery, kelp, dulse, carrot and spinach.These bars have 17g of protein, 26g of carbs, and 330 cals per bar. Yes there is sugar in these bars- 18g to be exact. Honey is the only added sweetener. I think of these more like a nutrient dense energy bar.They come shipped in a refrigerated box- ice pack, insulation, etc. Mine were cool to the touch when I opened them. Amazon delivered them in 2 days! Yeah Prime.I store mine in the freezer and refrigerator. They seem to keep really well in the freezer- no weird texture or separation issues when they thaw. I keep a box in the refrigerator to eat for the week. You could go straight from the freezer.I like them at room temperature or greater. Cold they are firm. All the seed oils are firm and that gives them a different texture then when they are warm. At room temperature they are soft and a little bit crumbly. The oils are more relaxed and that gives them a more pleasant mouth feel to me. Very creamy and more flavorful.I use these for meal replacement, snack, after workout boost, and breakfast on the go. They travel well and will keep for several days warm.Highly recommended as a quality made, delicious tasting, quilt free nutrition option.

Normally I love these (when purchased fresh and refrigerated from the store), but this shipment was HORRIBLE. Hard as a rock. Dry. Terrible. Taste and texture point to the product sitting for some time on an unrefrigerated shelf. DO NOT BUY ONLINE!!!! Made me wonder if the product from this seller is even the real deal.

I will begin by saying I enjoy these bars in the Almond flavor most weekdays for breakfast. I like how they are all natural, not too sweet, quite tasty and keep me full until Lunch.The one-star review is for this particular seller - Sunflower ventures. I have purchased before directly from the Perfect Snacks company and have had no problems. The bars from Sunflower did not come with ice packs and did not taste good.Upon contacting Sunflower telling them the situation and asking if I could return the remaining bars for an exchange I was told no. Jokes on me for buying from someone new. I would avoid buying from this seller.Bars themselves though = A+

I ordered 3 boxes of Perfect Bars for the 2nd time off Amazon. The first shipment was, well, perfect; the second was an oily, melted mess. I wrote customer service explaining that both the boxes and the individual bars (2/3 of the boxes) we covered in oil and that I threw them away because I thought they went bad. Customer service assured me they were fine, but took no responsibility for replacing the (expensive) products I threw out. I am happy to pay top dollar for high quality products, but resent being told that they're fine, when they were literally slick with oil (and thus not able to be used on the go, even if they were safe to eat).I LOVE Perfect Bars, but am really put off by this.

I am in love with the peanut butter dark chocolate chip Perfect bars and have been eating one daily for breakfast for the past couple of years. When the pandemic hit, it became hard to get them in stores. So, I was very grateful to find them on Amazon. I started ordering the eight-pack boxes, which looked just like the boxes at Whole Foods and Fresh Thyme. Once those were harder to order on Amazon, I began ordering the boxes with 10. What I've found with the 10-packs is this: they are different. They're thinner (maybe even smaller) and a darker color. They almost look like they baked too long. They are good, but they're not perfect like the ones in-store. So, while I'm happy I found a way to get these bars when local stores are out of them, the 10-pack is not the same.

These bars taste odd and as if they have previously been frozen or put on dry ice. They are not like the store. They are hard, extra chewy, come apart in layers and they don't have the same texture as the store bought bars. Unfortunately, I bought two orders so got 6 boxes. I am struggling to eat the rest. My store ran out and I eat one every morning. I couldn't wait until the store had them back in stock and so I bought these. I love them from the store but I have learned not to buy on line again. I would rather eat something else than suffer through more of these strangely textured and extra chewy bars.
