Not the best or the worst
As advent calendars go, this is a name brand Lego set. We all know we don't get a lot of pieces when it's like that. However, considering what it costs to get one Lego person, this is a good deal. This set has a slight advantage over the Hot Wheels set just because Legos never seem dated in style. You could put this away and never use it for 20 years, and I would like to think it would still seem more nostalgic than dated. The Hot Wheels set I got for the same price gave a more substantial pile of prizes, but you see every single corner they cut in style and still failed to make everything look classic instead of just dated. Regardless, you get a much better deal on these in the off-season, so I use it as a prize system to keep my son in a good mood. I tried using it more as a reward, but it was may more effective to just pepper in random little prizes to keep his mood light. It's a cool way to stretch money spent on a toy. Normally, I would spend this much on one item that he would play with for about the same amount of time.

Amazing advent calendar for any child or adult who loves Legos
I purchased this advent calendar for my 4 year old son. My son only recently started to play with the regular sized Legos and absolutely loved this calendar. Every day of the month has either a lego figure or kit to make a piece of the lego city like a police station or a train. The directions are on the back of the the day pull tab. Now I will say that the pieces and the directions are super tiny. I had a hard time seeing the directions so its not very easy for a 4 year old. I really had to help him along in building the pieces but even in doing so he had a a lot of fun places each piece on the street board that they provide and every day little by little building more and more of his city. Overall this is a super fun advent calendar and well worth the price.

Must have
Must have if you have a lego fanatic in the house. I have been buying these for 10 years I think, every year. We can never forget these and I buy them just as soon as I see them released for the year becuase one year I was a little late and they ran out and I had to go hunt and pay 3 times the amount they are just to have one, yes they are that important in our home! Its a tradition, we have to have our lego advent calendar!!!! They are cute and fun and you can just bag them up and pass them along to others who are more creative to make their own lego advent calendar or if you are like my house we have shelves and shelves of each years lego scenes and yes the lego room is filled to capacity.

Everything is Awsome!!
My son is going to flip. He is 3.5 and we transitioned him to play with the normal size Legos. He is obsessed with cars and just started playing more pretend too. He LOVES building with Legos and he is going to freak when he sees the lego people and lay down road. The instructions are on the inside of each door. Seems like they are easy builds for a lego newby. Side note, this is for ages 5 and up. There are tons of Itty bitty pieces. But my child never puts things in his mouth and we sit with him while he builds and plays with the Legos. I would not recommend this if your child puts things in their mouth, nose or ears! But overall this advent/reward calendar is perfect for the little lego enthusiast.

Big hit at our house
My son had so much fun with this kit! It was a special way to start each day the month of December as we counted down to Christmas. Parents should know that this set comes with villains, bad guys with handcuffs, etc. I tied this to reading our daily bible story so that we first talked about the real reason for Christmas, then had fun with pretend make believe of this kit. You end December 24th with Santa Minifig! Great set for lego loving kiddos! The pieces are very tiny though, mostly 1x1 or 1x2, and just a picture to go off of, no instructions, so adult help may be needed for the younger ages or fine motor delays.

Happiest Grandson ever!
Missing my 6 year old grandson during the pandemic has been difficult. Normally I visit 4-6 times a year, they live 500 miles from here. When I spotted this Advent Calendar with City Legos I knew he’s love it and also let him know I think of him often. We zoom once a week but I like to do a little more where I can. One; Advent Calendars help young children understand exactly when Dec 25th will happen. Two: having trucks and construction people (one of his favorites) etc, a fun little set he will put together everyday, and can incorporate in the main Lego pile made the choice win-win. He is thrilled and now can’t wait for Dec1st!

This is great for young lego lovers!
I bought this for my 5 year old Grandson who loves legos! He just started the calender and is loving it! He was so excited for December 1st to come. Well worth the money. The two little lego toys he has gotten so far he is just so happy with. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about getting on. The is one for girls as well. This also helps him remember his numbers since he has to locate them on this set. They are not inorder but rather mixed up all over. I am pleased that I found this just in time for this year!

Perfect advent calendar for lego fans
We bought this for our son and he loves it. He is 4 and the builds are easy enough for him to do on his own. There are simple instructions inside the flap when you open each day. It opens with a large flap where you can set up all the small builds and create a little town. I'm hoping there is a piece of paper inside the box outlining all the little items and their instructions, because I don't want to keep the box afterwards in case he wants to remake any of the items.

Great fun, well worth it
Bought these for my three boys ages 4 to 5 and a half. So far they are a huge hit. My eldest talked about it nonstop until December 1st. It’s fun every morning building the little vehicles and stuff. They all need varying degrees of help but for us adults it’s nice to share that 5-10 minutes in the morning with them and then they’re happy to play with their growing collection while we make breakfast. A bit pricey for three but we’ll worth the $40 we paid for these. I’ll be keeping an eye out for any sales throughout the year!
