what is the difference between this and the skill?

Thank you for your question. The CSW41 has a different housing design, an ergonomic handle for more control and comfort while cutting, it has a die-cast magnesium footplate. The CSW41 has a large bevel capacity of up to 53 degrees and a positive stop at 45 degrees. The bevel and depth adjustment levers are metal instead of the harden plastic. Lastly has a built in saw hook for storage or usage. It is a larger version and more comfortable for less fatigue than the Skilsaw. is this saw made in usa?

Unfortunately it is made in China. A lot od Bosch tools are Germany and Sweden but I have notice that most of their saws are made in Asian Countries (China, Taiwan, etc.)

Can I use Skil lubricant on this Bosch saw? is the Bosch lubricant synthetic?

Thank you for your question. With the CSW41 you can use any manufactures worm drive oil. It must be worm drive oil as it is a special non foaming oil specifically designed for worm drive saws. How does this saw differ from the Bosch 1677M?

Doug does not know or own a 1677m which weighs 14 lbs . with cord and blade.The difference : new housing and gear shed a few ounces. I bought the Skil version of this saw and it is horrible
