Fantastic, Sturdy Battery Operated Mirrored Turntable
I do a lot of art and sculpture, and I've been looking for an automated turntable for awhile now so that when I do turntable videos, I don't need to spin the sculptures themselves on a free-spinning stand. After a lot of research, I settled on this particular turntable and have been quite pleased with the results! The turntable is 7 x 7 x 2 inches and appears to be made with mostly plastic. It can support a maximum weight capacity of 1.5kg/3.3lbs. The sides are a matte black plastic, and the top section looks to be some type of mirrored plastic. It ships with a piece of thin plastic coating to protect the mirrored section, so make sure to peel that off when it arrives. The mirror is nice but not extremely shiny or scratch-resistant, so if you want to make it shine even more, you might consider purchasing a 7 inch circular glass mirror from your local art and craft supply store. In terms of the unit itself, it runs only on batteries, not AC power or USB. It requires two C-sized batteries to run, which are not included. You will need a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment, which is located on the bottom of the unit. The turntable has a small control lever which is located along the edge of the turntable, offering you high speed, off, or low speed. Both on settings turn counterclockwise, but there wasn't a lot of difference between their speeds. The low setting took 40.72 seconds to complete one rotation, and the high setting took 32.82 seconds to complete one rotation. Since it's motorized, it's not silent, but it is quite quiet and smooth and does't wobble at all.All-in-all, I'm very pleased with it, and have already gotten a lot of use out of it so far. About the only minor quibbles I have about it are that it requires C-type batteries, which I don't normally keep in stock (but will now), and that there isn't more of a difference between the two speed settings. Even still, I would highly recommend it if you're interested in a battery operated turntable.I am a longtime Amazon Prime customer who enjoys writing reviews in my free time. Works great, but really only seems to have one speed, despite 2 modes.
Great product! I put together a toy model that I put on this pedestal to display in a glass a case. It spun for 2 months before it ran out of battery. Even though itβs advertised with 2 speed modes, they seem to rotate at the same speed. Despite that, I really like it because of how long it rotates without having to change batteries.

Pretty Good with Some Issues
The media could not be loaded. This turntable is wonderful for its price, mobility, and style. I love that it's battery operated so I don't have to deal with any cables. I also love that it has a mirror base. It gives such a premium look to my videos. I also love that it's so economic! With all of that being said..... I have two things which have been frustrating to deal with. First of all, it doesn't provide 100% smooth movement. If you place a taller or skinnier item onto it you'll notice that it wobbles enough to be noticeable. In my video you'll notice that this can be seen especially when you're taking close up shots. Maybe for some this isn't a big deal but for me it has been and I've had to get creative to minimize it.This leads me to my second point. The base is not fully flat and it is for this reason that I find it makes my items wobble. If you press down on it a bit you'll find that one side is flat while the other is not and can be pushed down. This makes it tip so when the turntable is turning and the weight of the item reaches that side, it sinks and makes it wobble. This also causes my items to SLIDE so I end up having to recenter it every few seconds. This is impractical for a video. Now hey, maybe I just have a faulty turntable but I gotta tell you, its been frustrating to deal with.Nonetheless I have been making the most of it and do still consider it to be pretty great for what it is and its price point. Without the issues I mentioned this thing would be PERFECT.
