Attaches securely, even with a BodyGuardz carbon fiber skin on the bottom of the laptop. It does indeed make typing more comfortable. The thickness of the stand is more than the height of the rubber pads of the computer, so the rubber pads can no longer reach the surface of the table and the laptop slips around more easily than before.
