I found my both capacitors totally dead and hard start kit doing their job to kick the A/C on. A/C company asked $320 for each. I bought 3 of these, 1 as spare. The capacity readings are as advertised. Easy installation. Make sure you turn off your thermostat, pull or turn off the cutoff breakers to the outdoor unit and discharge the old capacitor by short circuiting all 3 poles with each other using a screwdriver with insulated grip. Otherwise, the electric stored in these can give you shocks.

Replaced the existing capacitor in my American Standard outside unit in under 10 minutes with the support of my 15 year old. Compressor spun back up immediately and has been working great!

Capacitor arrived next day in perfect shape right n time before the heat wave this week. Tested each terminal and they measured correctly. This replaced a capacitor that lasted a little over 5 years. Hopefully this will last the same. Will update with the longevity later.

Bought for my home HVAC compressor. After purchasing, figured out a prior tech jerry rigged a 5 mf as they didn't have a 45-5 mf, so he used a 45-7 mf. I'll just keep it as a backup. It did work when I had it hooked up, but got the correct 45-5 mf capacitor.
