Body-Solid (GDR363-SET) Dumbbell Rack with 20 Rubber 5-50 lb Dumbbells and Floor Mat, Commercial and Home Gym Weight Rack Storage & Organizer Stand

I considered buying only the bodysolid dumbbell set of 5-50lbs, but when I stumbled upon this deal for the 3 tier rack and mat I decided it was too good to pass up. My order arrived within 8 days and the delivery driver was good at calling and giving me updates on the shippment. The rack was easy to put together, you may need a socket wrench to help tighten it down. The weights fit good on the rack and the rack doesn't mover around or "wiggle"; it's put together very well. The weights are a very nice rubber material like you would see at most gyms with a chrome knurling bar to hold them together. All in all, it is an excellent product and (in my opinion) deal. The only negative would be that the weights have a slight coating of some sort of chemical/lubricator on them so you may need to wipe them off or let them dry in a room with good circulation for a day or two. There is a rubber smell that has been lingering since I put everything up, but I don't mind it. I actually kind of like it because the smell reminds me of a real gym. If there was any room for improvement in this product I would say it would be greater knurling on the weights, but they are still fine as is -no complaints.

I spent money on these weights for a couple reasons: I didn't like going to the gym, and I have trouble sticking to a workout routine (I figured if I spent lots of money on something I would feel obligated to use it).That being said, these weights are just as advertised. Like many people are saying, they DO smell. I have found that no amount of cleaning or air drying really does the trick. After about a month of owning them it has gotten slightly better, but it never really bothered me in the first place. The quality of the actual weights and the rack that comes with them actually exceeded my expectations. Everything seems very heavy-duty. They came without blemish even though the boxes arrived slightly beat up (but I didn't expect the boxes to come intact based on the weight of what they were containing). I can see these things lasting me a lifetime.The company, fitness-outlet, is a class act. The weights got to me two days after I ordered them (standard shipping). The only downside is they sent me three 45 pound weights and one 50 instead of two 45s and two 50s. I contacted them by email that day and they were prompt in getting back to me. They had it shipped via Fed-Ex back to them the next day and sent the new 50 pound weight to me that next day as well. I received the weight the following day. Their customer service was excellent and I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. I loved how quick the turnaround was on everything.Here's to hoping the routine lasts,Signed,One happy customer.

These are fantastic dumbbells. The contoured handle is especially important to me. Although I have not yet turned 40, I have arthritis in one hand due to an injury. Straight handled dumbbells cause that hand to HURT, but these don't.Others have commented on the rubbery smell. I found it to be quite mild. Plus, they are rubberized; what do you expect?Others have given negative reviews because of the packaging -- each dumbbell is packaged in its own box, and all the boxes are stacked into a wooden crate. Again, what do you expect? There is no other realistic way to ship these, so get ready to have a LOT of cardboard boxes lying around.The only negative I have to say is either the fright carrier or the seller lost the pallet with my order on it. No one noticed until the scheduled day of delivery arrived and I called the freight company to ask where they were. They had never heard of me, nor did they have anything scheduled to deliver to me. I called the seller and they spent several days looking for it, and then finally shipped another one. So I waited nearly a month from the time I ordered the dumbbells to the time I had them.

I'm very pleased with the rack and dumbbells. The rack had one shelf that the holes did not match up but I was able to make it work.

The smell is absolutely overwhelming. I've been to gyms for years and years and been in friend's home gyms and I can promise you these things are on another level. I read the reviews and tried every kind of cleaning solution I could think of and even waited an entire month. I'd recommend paying more for some urethane coated ones or a lot less for painted steel ones. Neither will have a smell.Also the rack is shaped in a way where it takes great care to place them on the bottom shelf without pinching your fingers. I recommend getting a rack is slanted where each shelf isn't directly underneath the other (like the XMark 4 ft. Three Tier Dumbbell Rack XM-4439)This setup is just way too expensive for what you get.

The actual weights that came with this purchase were fine, exactly as expected. The rack, however, failed in three places. 1) The 10lb weights do not fit properly/securely on the rack, design flaw for smaller weights. 2) Two of the six end caps did not fit properly into the ends of the of the structure and broke during installation. 3) One of the center flanges is about 3/8" out of kilter making it impossible for the horizontal member to be bolted into place, ie, the holes don't line up (the other 5 members were installed easily). I attempted to fix the flange by using tools to put it back into place but the flange would not move. Currently I have a much smaller bolt threaded through the holes, which is barely hanging on, and definitely not up weight specifications. I know the majority of the cost for this purchase is for the weights (no problems with the weights), but I expected much more in general for the price I paid. I would not recommend this dumbbell rack.

The rack serves its purpose but recommend purchasing a slanted rack that gives better access to weights.No issues with the weights - smell like rubber.
