Great stand, based on the price/quality of the product
This review is based on the price/quality of the product. Although it seems pretty well made, nonetheless this is plastic and probably won't hold up long term under active use, would probably break if you schlep a speaker on it.However it's really light, folds up very compactly, a little bigger than a folding umbrella, and fits into my gig bag easily, way more convenient to haul than any other stands I use, which I often don't bring because of the awkwardness of most. I've used it for my electric and acoustic guitars and it holds either pretty well.

Small and compact.
It's a small compact guitar stand. Very sturdy, folds up to a small item to carry around.

Works great with acoustic and electric instruments.
This is a great guitar stand. Works with acoustic guitars, banjo, electric guitar and base. I stepped on mine in the dark , broke it and immediately ordered two more. The stand packs up small and is very sturdy, if you don't step on it.

A good stand but is it perfect for you
I bought this based on a few personal requirements. First, had to fit in a case or gig bag. Second, it had to hold the guitar securely.I found the stand to be a bit cluncky. I'm sure this will ease up over time with use. It seamed to hold me acoustic guitar very well. It's light weight, and probably bigger than you imagined. I believe this would be good for your regular strat, lp, or SG style of guitar. It may work well with odd style guitars like vs, explorers, etc ...I'm 90% sure that my most loved guitar (LTD Snakebite) well never be placed on this thing! The leg and back do have a rubber feeling material we're the guitar will touch the stand. It doesn't look like it but you can definitely feel it. I like this one will be solely for my acoustic at home. I think I'd like something a little more reassuring for my other guitars.

Ideal for gigs
I play guitar in churches and I got tired of those bulky stands. This is much better. It is a bit larger than a similar, wooden one on Amazon, but works the same way: it folds into a decent stand that will hold an electric or acoustic guitar. It looks like it could easily accommodate a banjo. It appears very durable and sturdy. If you have a guitar case with an outside pocket, it will fit into that with no problem. Of course it will be fine for home use as well.

Best bass stand I've ever had.
Works perfectly with my bass. Strong, sturdy and doesn't shift. Folds pretty small and quite light to carry.

BUY THIS!!
Well-made and guitar does not slip. There is rubber where the guitar sets on. It folds up small and easy to carry around. I recently spent triple on a different stand that I hate and is difficult to travel with.
