Cam works great. Very nice quality for a dash cam. Suction sucks though and not in a good way. Many times I come back to my car to see that the cam has fallen on the floor of the car as the suction cup failed.

I didn't know much about dashcams and needed one because, well, people drive like crazy here. This one was well reviewed and is better quality than I expected for the price. Hooking it up was simple. Even running the wire around the edge of the car interior was easier than I thought [Nissan Versa]. I'd recommend getting a good memory card and a lighter socket splitter if you have other items to charge or use at the same time. Very happy with the camera so far!

Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a $300 model, but if you are just starting with a dash cam, I would recommend something not so expensive and use this as a starter. I bought two, one for a semi and one for my car. Picture is great, sound is good. Suction is fine, if your having difficulty getting it to attach, just lightly wipe suction plastic or windshield with a very small bit of water and attach, have never had a problem. We review videos on laptop, the one for the truck, the run time we estimate at 10-12 hours (64G). However, just unplug from cigarette lighter when not really needed, and when in heavy traffic or suspicious area or drivers, plug it back in. The brake checkers out there wanting to have an accident, beware, your on camera, more truckers have these than you realize now! You can turn the speaker on/off, so no worry about privacy. Once we get used to this and operating the functions, will move to a more expensive item. Stay safe and CYA!

I received the Byakov 1080p Dash Cam on April 22, 2022. Default installation with the supplied 12v cable would be pretty easy, but I chose to buy an adapter and a right angle USB cable to allow me to get power from my rear view mirror so installation took about an hour. The camera fired up instantly and worked great until about 10 days ago. Since then, the camera comes on when the ignition is turned on but only runs for 3 to 10 minutes before is spontaneously shuts down and I am "treated" to the "Goodbye" screen. Restarting the camera by pressing the power button works, but the same spontaneous shutdown process still occurs. The car is garaged, so excessive heat from the sun is not the culprit. I have verified this by taking the car out at night (mid 60's F temperature) with the same results. The suction cup has detached several times since install (the USB cable has prevented the camera from being jarred or hitting anything) in spite of having a "squeaky clean" windshield at the original install. Unfortunately, it appears to be too late to return this item, It's "Amazon Choice" and I had expected better!***UPDATE*** 08/01/22 After writing the above review, I contacted Byakov at [email protected] and received a reply within about 2 hours! They apologized for my inconvenience and asked that I email the order number for my Amazon purchase as well as my shipping address so that they could send out a new Byakov 1080p Dash Cam. I received the new camera within 3 days of that correspondence and it was not necessary to send the defective camera back. I'm hoping that the new camera will not suffer from the same issues (I have read other reviews complaining of the same issue as I did), but when it comes to customer service, I have nothing to complain about! Although I had to do some "digging" in order to find the contact address for Byakov, the 2 year warranty listed for this camera is stellar! Thanks Byakov for making this right! (I have also purchased another Byakov 1080p Dash Cam and I note that the design, mounting system, and USB (changed from mini USB to micro USB) have changed. New manufacturer or product improvement?)

Installation is quite the problem. Still haven’t installed it yet.

I was a bit skeptical with this dashcam at first but wanted to give it a try to see what the hype was all about. I can say confidently that I enjoy this dashcam very much. Despite the small screen, it makes up for it with everything else. It is lightweight, compact, easy to fit behind your rear view mirror and super easy to set up and use right away. Would definitely consider buying another one down the road. Thanks!

My previous bulky dash cam finally bit the dust.I found this compact unit on Amazon that has many more features than the previous one and is easier to use. Easily installed .... ready to go in minutes.It automatically comes on when turning the key and turns off when turning engine off.I love knowing that I have proof of anything bad that happens looking out over my hood...something that could be very valuable in a court case.

I purchased this dashcam in Sept 2021 and have been using it for a little over a year. Overall I was happy with the product until recently when the date/time keeps resetting to the default date/time after the vehicle is off for 12 hours. I don't see any way to replace an internal battery if it has one. This is a big problem since the timestamp is always wrong on the videos. The suction cup also doesn't hold well but I found that applying a small amount of silicone grease to the cup before mounting it does help.
