Teckin Cam 1080P FHD Indoor Wi-Fi Smart Camera for Home Security, Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, Motion&Sound Detection, Desk Stand/Wall&Ceiling Mount/Action Mode, for Baby/Pet/Elderly (Light White)

I bought this camera because I live by myself in a condo and I want to be able to see if anyone is coming in my house especially when I am in my bedroom at night. I also have a dog they been able to check in on her as well as communicate with her while I am out of the house was really important to me. I bought this camera because of the price and because of the features but I had no idea that it would work this well. The picture quality for night time and during the day us excellent. The set up is simple and user friendly and once you download the app you are good to go. It has a wide range of coverage so depending upon where you place it, you can get a pretty wide range view. I always thought that systems like this were complicated and required some technical skill to set up. I was very surprised to see how simple this was and for twenty dollars, this camera has the same features as the more expensive ones. This purchase is a twenty dollar investment to feel more safe and secure. I plan on buying a few more as gifts for my elderly parents to have in their home. I definitely recommend this camera. Do not be fooled by the low price. It is a quality system. I never Take the time to do reviews but I felt that this one was because you don’t need a lot of money to have access to a quality camera security system.

The camera is small and lightweight but provides a really good picture. It was pretty easy to set up using the app. My home network is 2.4 and 5 GHz on the same WiFi SSID. The camera only connects to 2.4 but I had no problem getting it online. I inserted a Micro SD card to capture images (NOTE: it does not come with one but cloud storage is available). Here are some Pros and Cons:PROS/ Pretty quick set up using the QR code in the app/ Picture quality is good/ Motion and Sound detection is good/ Power cable is over 4 feet long/ Subscribing to the free cloud account was quick and easy/ Notifications of motion and sound detection is quick/ Talking through the app to the camera works well/ Sounds from the camera to the app are fine/ Tech support thru Facebook was very responsive and interested in my experienceCONS/ The setup directions say to hold the QR Code 20-26 CM from the lens. I had to look up a conversion of CM to inches (8-10 inches)/ The date overlay is the European format: Day Month Year (September 8, 2020 is 8/9/20). It cannot be changed/ There are no operating directions - just directions on how to get it online/ There were several issues with the app related to video/photo recording and playback. Tech support was very responsive and committed to making updates.Overall it is good for the money. I think it would be best to use as a live, “check in” cam - aim it to what you want to observe and then check in Live via the app as needed - until they update the app.I do not have an Amazon Alexa video device so I was unable to test that integration.

Teckin has made an inexpensive, easy to use, and very capable little indoor webcam with their introduction of the Click. It's a 1080p webcam, and comes packaged neatly and efficiently with the camera, a USB power supply, and a good length of USB micro cable.From unboxing, to downloading the TECKIN app, to having the camera working took about 5 minutes. The setup is SUPER simple, and if you have a mixed 5GHz/2.4GHz network you need to make sure the SSID for both networks is the same, or that you temporarily disable your 5GHz network while doing the setup.In my case, I have a Netgear ORBI mesh WiFi system and it worked flawlessly. The setup in the app creates a QR code that is scanned by the camera to set the SSID and password for the Teckin Click Camera.Five stars all the way around! Images are crisp and clear, and the night-time performance in low light is excellent. The camera even has built in IR lights that come on to help illuminate things at night.This is _STRICTLY_ an indoor camera. I believe that Teckin is working on a similar outdoor camera in the future and look forward to it when it comes out. I will be using this one to keep watch over my workshop.

Simple and quick connection to the TECKIN app. Good quality video and pictures. Lots of different subscriptions that allow you to record small events up to yearly subscriptions for playback features so you can have security on a budget. I like how the lights on the camera don't make the camera too obvious. Night vision works great too!Three things to be prepared with BEFORE purchasing1. The power cable is about 4 feet long which means for a wall mount it may not reach high enough or the area you want without an extension cord. Simple fix as seen in one of my pictures.2. The wall mount feature is nice and you simply pull off the stand and insert on the back. And, its a 1 time install on the wall as it uses a double sided adhesive pad. Also the ball and socket joint allows sufficient adjustment, but it has limits that shouldn't be an issue. Plan well where you want the camera.3. For the wall mount feature the power supply is on the bottom which prevents the camera from looking down all the way. Not a huge issue, but might cause more area below the camera not to be caught on camera.
