Yes, the insulation is easy. Shut off the power remove the old one and install the new one close it turn back on the power and flip the switch. It’s easy and no longer needing night lights around the house. Great idea thanks.!!

Great light switches. My wife and I purchased a fixer-upper. The home was built around 1985 and has small light switches. I have been switching them out, and in some areas installing these switches with lights. They are awesome. When we have guests, they know where the light switches are at night. During the day, no light, but at night it lights up. I now have about eight switches in the house where the light aluminates at night. I think they are worth having and adds a little class to the house. When you look at the photo with the duel light switch the one on the left is the one that lights up. the other photo is the one in the hallway that lights up. I'm using my phone so it's not a great shot. however, the switch will light up on top or bottom depending on where the switch is located.

These switches are attractive, the action is solid, and performance is good, except for two light issues:(1) The nightlights are pretty bright - which would be tolerable except that:(2) They never go off, because the photosensor does not have enough gain to recognize when the room is no longer dark - even when the room light it on! Getting the nightlights to go off requires either (a) mounting the switch where it catches outdoor sunlight or (b) shining a flashlight on the switch.So they are good switches designed on a great idea that was just not well-executed. I have not had a chance to take one apart to see if that could be improved (but I suspect that at best it would require replacement of a surface-mounted resistor). If I get a chance to do so, I will update this review.

Bought a new condo and was searching for switches at night and getting lost. These give the perfect amount of light and lets you know where the switches are. Quick and easy installation as well.

Sets a nice mood

We bought a home to remodel and wanted some night lights in the halls and bathroom etc. These have held up to the description and have worked flawlessly

I bought these for a couple rooms where I always miss the light switch in the dark. My electrician installed them, and they work well on three-way switches. We tried using them on two-way outlets, and they do work, but you have either the switch going in the wrong direction, or the light shines up. Annoying, but still useful.The photo shows a two-way switch on the left, and a three-way switch on the right.

Ok the instructions say on the 3 way switch that the light won’t work if it isn’t used with another lighted switch like this. That isn’t true becuase when I was installing the switches on my stair case I tried it out and the light works with only one installed in the circuit. The other switch was a regular 3 way paddle switch. But I did put two in and it lights up my stairwell prettt well. One light shines up and one is down becuase of how the 3 way works. I also installed it on a single pole using the 3 way and it works great too. I will be buying more switches becuase I have other areas where I want it installed at.
