Always use good cables and that will help with the sound. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a really good Pre Amp make sure to do your homwork. *by D***9 on July 11, 2022* I want to say first and foremost please make sure your cartridge input capacitance is within its range when getting a pre-amp to get the best sound of of it. I have and Audio Technic VA530en which is known for being very bright so I had to make sure the input capacitance was in between 100pF and 200pF this unit is at 100pF so I needed a cable no more than 100pF I contacted U-Turn they advised me to get the KableDirekt 3 foot cables that game in at 65fF, that are here on Amazon and it worked perfectly!! I got a very nice punchy un colored sound from this unit. In saying that, when I was doing my research on Youtube so many gave the Pluto 2 an inaccurate sound profile and acted like it was the pre amp but it wasn't. I am not saying what pre amp sounds better but what they were given was not the true sound capabilities of the U-Turn Pluto 2. There is no way they could be using one cartridge and comparing the Pluto 2 to other pre-amps when the input capacitance requirements are different between the cartridges and preamps and there is no input capacitance adjustment so you were not getting an accurate sound profile.
