GlasGartenShrimp Dinner Pads 2 (70g)

Have some crystal red caridina shrimp, they love it, as do my Amano, but that's not saying much.

My shrimp love this so much that they swarmed it and there were a couple of fist fights over it.

It seems to be their favorite. This brand is recommended often in shrimp forums.

I really wanted to like it but these are waaaay too hard for shrimp. Both my caridina and neocaridina tanks ignore it. It’s so odd because my shrimps eat every other food by Glasgarten but not this. Expiration date was also pretty close too for the amount that’s in this container.

My red cherry shrimp like the GlasGarten Shrimp Dinner Pads better than any other solid food that I have tried. They also like the GlasGarten Bacter AE, which is dissolved in the water.

As long as my shrimp continue to thrive, I will continue to buy and use GlasGarten products.

I have two nano Neocaridina shrimp tanks. In the larger/more established tank (5 gallons, which has a more abundant supply of biofilm for the shrimp to eat,) they don’t touch this food. Even my snails don’t touch it in that tank. The shrimp and snails both make a beeline for Hikari shrimp cuisine, so it’s not a pure hunger thing. They just don’t like it. In my smaller (3 gallon, less well-established,) the shrimp and snails will both eat this, but they will both eat all the Hikari before they will move on to this.Given that the pads are pretty solid and take a long time to fall apart (days, if not very disturbed,) I’d say these Glasgarten Dinner Pads are potentially good for weekend/vacation feeders (basically, it lasts a while, and shrimp and snails will eventually eat it if they don’t have preferred food sources.)

40 years of owning aquariums and running 6 neo tanks, GlasGarten Bact AE and Shrimp Baby, Min. Junkie are 5 Star products hands down. But none of my shrimp or snails will touch or even show interest in Shrimp Dinner. Shipping and delivery were 5 stars and other products are top rated 5 stars! But Shrimp Dinner didn't work for me. Keep in mind some of the top non sponsored shrimp breeders love and swear by Shrimp Dinner, so my case could be rare and situational.
