I was a bit worried it wouldn't be as good as one purchased through Harley, but I'm glad I ordered the one I did. Cost was far less, and I've used it all summer and think it works great. It also wasn't anything I thought I'd ever add, yet after taking many longer trips over the years, and usually opting to strap some softer gear on the seat just as a backrest, I thought it might be nice for short rides to have that support. It has been so nice, and noticeable, during simple maneuvers as well as once I'm in a cruise mode. I'd highly recommend adding one and the one I got seems well made.

We ride long distance a lot so having a rider back rest is a must for me. I installed this on my 2022 Road Glide Special and here are my two-cents worth of comments.It doesn't come with written instructions but if you scroll thru the product pictures you will find the Installation instruction video - super easy to follow and easy to install (unless you have to take off a trunk pack) We installed this on my husband's 2022 Road Glide Limited and did not have to take the trunk pack off - just the seat,The biggest "pain" is figuring out where the backrest bracket should sit. This determines how close or far from your back the backrest will sit. You may have to adjust the position which is a bit of a pain because it means you put your seat on and insert the backrest part and then sit on your bike to see if the location is right and if it isn't then you have to take the seat off again and adjust the bracket position. You'd still have to do this if you bought then OEM part (for more $$) Once you have the bracket positioned where you need it, you can go on to adjusting the backrest angle. Fitting the backrest into the bracket is also a bit of a pain because then you have to figure out how high or low you want the backrest to sit - you have three option and you just have to pinch the prongs together and maneuver it into position - again - you'd still have to do this with the OEM part.I've seen a comment where the zipper tab is on the inside rather than the outside - and yes - it is. Oh well - it still zippers up just fine.Adjusting the angle of the backrest is super easy too. There's a little hole on the backside where you can use the allen wrench to adjust back or forward.Now Cost: OEM - you have to buy the bracket and backrest separately - OEM bracket is about $53 and the backrest alone is $213 - 230 depending what style. Total cost of OEM - $267 before tax -Total cost of this one (including tax) $124.Quality: Just as good as OEM.Does the stitching match my seat or passenger backrest? Nope - and it doesn't bother me at all.Overall: TOTALLY recommend! Score Amazon (again) for saving me $$$.

So to start off I only have 4 stars due to shipping issues. The product arrived well over a week late and no one could track the package. This has been happening with many of my orders lately. Anyways on to the good part.This backrest feels to be made of high quality material. It was very easy to install after watching a video ( no instructions with the item) had to drill two holes for my bike to line up the bottom bolts. The hardest part of the install was honestly lining up the backrest to the bracket.Had a friend buy one of these from Harley and paid three times as much. Great price on a great product.

First, thank you to the seller for the quick overnight UPS shipping from NJ to LA. This is for my a new 2022 Road Glide Limited, Installation was a little tricky, I had to bend the middle connecting bracket to make it fit (no instructions, I printed a diagram from HD online). The reason why I chose this set is the HD online rider's backrest on backorder for months (a mounting brackets in stock though) and I did not want to wait so long to purchase from HD online, I have chronic lower back pain and all my motorcycles have a backrest put on. This set is very good quality and the backrest pad angle is adjustable by using the Allen wrench. Hope this helps for potential buyers. Always ride safe 🤟🏼

The quality of the mount and hardware is equal to the genuine Harley mount that I've had on other motorcycles. The pattern on the vinyl backrest is a little different than the stock Harley seat, but it's not significantly different. Overall the is a very good kit, especially for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

No instructions! The video amazon has does not show my installation. One bolt sheared off before fully tightening. Threads are wrong. Dont purchase this product

It’s good support, looks fine. The spring in the back seems to be out of place causing a lump in the cover.

if you are looking for a low profile backrest that provides long distance riding comfort as well, do not look any further, you found it. the HD part is much more expensive and this part provides the same quality and comfort without having a frying pan sticking out of your seat. if you happen to have a mounting bracket installed already from a HD backrest, you can just plug this backrest in as it is compatible. love, love this backrest!
