These gouache paints are absolutely beautiful! Mont Marte really gives you a perfect selection of colors. If you get this set of gouache, you will not be disappointed. The tubes are a good size and they come in a neat package. The paint is very pigmented and goes on smooth. I'm new to gouache, I mostly use regular watercolors, but these are really nice. The paints dry very nice. I'm extremely happy with this product and I will purchase it again when I need to. Thank you Mont Marte for making such great paints.

Everything is great except that they dry really fast. Was hoping to use them similar to acrylics and not have to add water to them but it looks like I will, which might reduce opacity. Good paint for the price though, reccomended for beginners who don't want to commit to expensive paint yet.

I bought gouache rather than watercolors, and while the colors are good and the price is fair, they didn't satisfy my inherent desire to paint with a sheer, transparent product...my bad.

These gouache watercolor paints are fun for a beginner. I paint often, but I am used to painting with watercolor paints and acrylic paints. These Mont Marte Signature Gouache Paints are my first gouache paints. I know that gouache is suppose to be very opaque, especially the higher-end brands. It is a bit frustrating to know that these paints should be showing up as a thicker/more opaque paint. However, if you are just getting into paints, or if you are purchasing a paint kit for a younger artist, these may work out well. These gouache paints have actually inspired me to purchase a higher-quality set.

I'm new to painting. While I've tinkered here and there since I was a child, I never really took it seriously until recently. I acquired a few books, some brushes, and some watercolors along with this set of Mont Marte Signature Gouache Paint. Unlike watercolors, this is a hint more matte, as the product description states.The color sampling above is on thin card-stock watercolor paper. The other night, I dug out my paints and created color-charts for my reference to see exactly what the colorways look like on paper vs. in the pan. The gouache paints spread evenly, dried quickly, and gave me a solidly pigmented matte finish. I played with different applications and brushes. Overall, these are lovely paints. I prefer the plastic tubes vs. the metal ones as they give the user a little more control when dispensing the product. I think for beginners like me, the essentials colorways this kit provides would be a nice addition to a starter collection of art supplies. A little goes long way.

Not so opaque after drying. Primary yellow should have been included. Buy at discount as it's not really worth the full price 😃

I used this product as a gift for my granddaughter who is very artistic

I'm ant art teacher, these paints were good enough for my classroom. They're not the nicest or cheapest paints but easy to use.
