Breezy PointMayan Mexican Matrimonial Hammock

We vacationed in Playa del Carmen and enjoyed relaxing in these amazing hammocks! So comfortable! Highly recommend. Bought this as a Father’s Day present.

I love this hammock. It is the most comfortable hammock I have owned.For everybody worried about the negative comments....mayan hammocks are delicate they hug your body. And yes it will snag if you have certain clothing on that's common sense. The hammock is not going to be like a canvas hammock with a spreader. It should be taken down after use and stored. If you dont want to put forth the effort, like anything else left outside,it is going to wear faster. It will fade that is what fabric does when left in the sun. I understand that it may not be convenient to take it down after every use but that is not the weavers fault. If properly taken care of this hammock will last.

Good workmanship and vibrant colors. I am very pleased, since this one replaces my 20 year-old authentic Mayan "matrimonial", and at a very reasonable price.

I bought this hammock on a trial basis to possibly replace my queen size bed, and wow, I was not disappointed!What you need to know about this hammock is that it is not like an American-style rope hammock. These Mayan hammocks are made from a weave of thousands of tiny strings. Being made of so many tiny strings makes it so comfortable and supportive, it evenly distributes your weight.The downside to this style hammock is that you really must be careful with clips, zippers, belts, and other things that could snag in the weave. You could put two people in this hammock for lounging, but for sleeping, it's a single person affair.Total length of this hammock was 14 ft. You'll need a big span to string this baby up. For comfort, it should hang at a 45 degree angle.

I really love this hammock the only problem I have with it is that the strings are thin. I had a hammock from mexico and the strings were double the size than this one. I feel like if you have jewlery or buttons they can get caught on the strings and rip the hammock. So far the hammock is fine and we bring it inside to not damage the thin strings. Also you can see where the person who made it tied the strings to make the knot so I hope that part doesn't undo. But besides those two things the hammock is huge and very comfortable!

Love my new hammie...I've had the Reda brand before and they didn't last more than 6 months indoors without issues of tearing/unraveling.Hopefully this one will last longer!

This is a really, really pretty hammock. It is also very, very stretchy. I have had to adjust it multiple times, as it was hard to figure out how far down it would go before you hit the ground, and it actually is still an ongoing process, but it is my first time with a hammock such as this, so I'm giving it 5 stars for comfort (when adjusted properly) and for being so pretty. Now, if only the weather would cooperate.

The hammock durability is great, the sturdiness of it is great and it functions well. I purchased the “cool” colored hammock which I thought was supposed to be the pretty blue and purple one and they sent me the ugly green and purple. The color bugged me not the functionality of the hammock.
